Application areas
Treatment of constipation with drugs should only be an adjunct to a diet that stimulates bowel activity and an adjusted lifestyle.
- Constipation
Mode of action
How does the ingredient of the medicine work? The laxative effect is due to the fact that the active substance accumulates water after ingestion and transports this into the large intestine. In the intestine itself, the increased concentration of macrogols attracts even more water in order to achieve a concentration balance between the inside and outside of the intestine. The resulting softening of the stool and increase in volume triggers a reflex action of emptying the stool due to the widening of the intestinal wall.

based on 1 bag
4g Macrogol 4000
