Field of use

• The preparation consists of cough -resting lollipops (antitussive).
• It is used at:
  • Stimulus and cramp cough (dry, unproductive cough) irritation and irritation of the upper respiratory tract.

Contradictions

• The cough pastilles must not be taken:
  • if you are allergic to drop medicine or one of the other components,
  • from patients with severe cardiovascular complaints,
  • of patients with restricted liver or kidney function,
  • from children under the age of 12,
  • if you are pregnant or breastfeeding,
  • if you are hypersensitive to essential (allergic) compared to essential oils (eucalyptus oil, levomenthol, citron oil, peppermint oil, anise oil) or one of the other components of the preparation,
  • because of the content of levomenthol, eucalyptus oil and peppermint oil from patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases that are associated with a pronounced hypersensitivity of the airways.

dosage

• Always take the preparation exactly as described. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the recommended dose is:
  • Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 take up 1 - 2 lollipops (20 - 40 mg drop medicine) up to 3 times a day. The daily dose must not exceed 5 lollipops (100 mg drop medicine).
  • Young people aged 12 and over should not receive more than 1 - 2 mg drop medicine per kg body weight.
  • Dropropica must be dosed carefully in older patients.

 

• Duration of the application
  • In patients in whom the cough does not largely disappear within a week after a respiratory infection, the doctor must be visited. Without questioning the doctor, the pastilles should not be taken for more than 14 days in the dosage mentioned.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Overdoses have not yet become known. It can be assumed that drop medicine up to the total dose of 600 mg (30 pastilles) is tolerated without essential dangers. If symptoms occur, according to the experience in animal experiments, it could above all be tired with extreme overdose (several packs), but also about seizures. The latter must be treated symptomatically.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • If you have forgotten to take the preparation at the intended time, get this as soon as you can. The next income should then take place again at the intended time.
  • Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake.

 

• If you cancel the intake
  • Please do not break the therapy with the preparation without consulting your doctor, provided that the medical regulation was taken.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• The pastilles should be sucked.
• In the evening intake makes sense, since a coughing cough can also go into a productive form in the course of the course.

  • Since tiredness has been observed in individual patients after taking the preparation, the behavior in road traffic and the operation of machines can be affected.
  • These impairments can be reinforced by taking sleeping and sedative and alcohol.

Pregnancy

• During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the preparation must not be taken, since there is no experience of side effects during pregnancy and the newborn.
