For this purpose, LactoStop® is taken immediately before or at the same time as the food is eaten.
What is lactose intolerance?
Lactose intolerance (milk sugar intolerance) is the most common food intolerance in Germany. People with lactose intolerance cannot, or only partially, digest the lactose (milk sugar) present in dairy products.
How does LactoStop®work?
LactoStop® replaces the missing endogenous enzyme lactase. Lactase breaks down the lactose ingested with food into its digestible components, galactose and glucose. Unpleasant disorders such as abdominal pain, a feeling of fullness or flatulence can be avoided.
How do I dose LactoStop?®
LactoStop® is available in dosage strengths of 3,300 FCC, 5,500 FCC and 14,000 FCC.
The personal need for lactase supplied depends on the body's own lactase production and on the amount of lactose contained in food and drinks. Therefore, the need for supplied lactase varies greatly from person to person. You determine your personal needs individually by varying the number of tablets or the dosage of the tablets (FCC units).
The lactase content in LactoStop® is given in FCC units (Food Chemicals Codex). In order to determine your personal LactoStop®requirement, please use the following rule of thumb: 1,000 FCC units split approx. 1.7 g of lactose
