Field of use

  • In the event of diarrhea and for poisoning by food, heavy metals and medicines. The preparation is not to be applied for poisoning by pesticides.

Contradictions

• When are you not allowed to take the medicine?
  • The preparation must not be taken with febrile diarrhea (diarrhea).

dosage

• Unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 2 to 4 tablets into a lot of fluids 3 to 4 times a day, children, children half.
• In the case of poisoning, the dose can be increased without hesitation up to 50 tablets that are mixed into a porridge in liquid. In this case, plus a salinic laxative such as sodium sulfate 30 to 60 minutes later is recommended.

 

• Duration of the application
  • In the event of diarrhea until normalization of bowel movements.
  • If the treatment has been unsuccessful after 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.

  • If you suspect poisoning, inform a doctor or the emergency services immediately!
  • Different or additional measures are required for various poisons and medicines.
  • Medical coal is not effective for poisoning with organic and inorganic salts as well as solvents, such as lithium, thallium, cyanide (hydrocyanic acid), iron salts, methanol, ethanol and ethylene glycol (for example in frost protection). Other measures for poison elimination (e.g. gastric rinse) are displayed here.
  • Important poisons in which medical coal is ineffective and suitable oral therapy is known are listed below:
    • Cyanide
      • Specific antidote (antidot): 4-dimethylaminophenol
    • Iron compounds
      • Specific antidote (antidot): deferoxamine (desferroxamine)
    • Lithium
      • Specific antidote (antidot): calcium polystyrene sulfonate
    • Methanol
      • Specific antidote (antidot): ethanol
    • Ethylene glycol
      • Specific antidote (antidot): ethanol
  • In the case of many poisoning, a specific antidote must also be given in addition to medical coal (for example, acetylcysteine in paracetamol poisoning).

• There are no restrictions on the application of the drug in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

- In the event of unconsciousness, a doctor or a nurse should practice the tablets flooded in water under medical supervisionr influence a stomach hose.
