Ready -to -use skin antique for preoperative application as well as before blood samples and injections

Product description:
Propanolically based product for skin disinfection.
VAH/DGHM-listed in the sections of skin disinfection and hygienic hand disinfection.

• Composition:
Medical-effective components: 100 g of solution included: 2-propanol (Ph.EUR.) 45.0 g, 1-propanol (Ph.EUR.) 10.0 g, biphenyl-2-ol 0.20 g • Other components: Hydrogen peroxide solution 30 % (Ph.EUR), cleaned water

• Application areas:
Skin disinfection before surgical interventions, catheterizations, blood and liquor withdrawals, injections, punctures, excisions, cannulas, biopsies, etc. For wound and seam supply. For hygienic hand disinfection. To support general hygienic measures as part of the prevention of skin fungal diseases.

• Contraindications:
Do not use for surgical hand disinfection. Hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.

• Side effects:
Skin irritation such as reddening, burning and drought can occur particularly with frequent use. In rare cases, contact allergic reactions are possible. If you find out other than the side effects described here, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

• Prevention measures for the application and warnings:

Field of use

Kodan tincture forte color blades (pack size: 1 l) is a ready -to -use and excellent skin -friendly skin clamp (disinfectant). Kodan Tincture Forte colorless (package size: 1 l) is suitable for convenient hygienic hand disinfection, wound and seam supply, for skin disinfection before injections, punctures, excisions and articulated dots and for preoperative skin disinfection.

For preoperative skin anticlaps / postoperative seam supply

Mode of action

Kodan Tincture Forte Color (pack size: 1 l) acts in its composition against bacteria, viruses (lipophilic) and fungi. The wound healing is in no way impaired by Kodan tincture forte (pack size: 1 l) , but exclusively.

Active ingredients of Kodan Tincture Forte colorless (pack size: 1 l): 100 g of solution included:
2-propanol (Ph.Eur.) 45.0 g, 1-propanol (Ph.EUR.) 10.0 G, Biphenyl-2-Ol 0.20 g.

Other ingredients: Hydrogen peroxide solution 30 % (Ph.EUR), cleaned water.

Contradictions

If the ingredients mentioned above, the product should not be used in the case of hypersensitivity to one of the above. Do not use for surgical hand disinfection.

The Kodan Tincture Forte colorless (pack size: 1 l) is used undiluted. To the hygienic handsdisinfection (in accordance with DGHM) Put 3 ml Kodan Tincture Forte colorless (pack size: 1 l) on the skin and leave it on for 30 seconds. Before injections and blood samples, Kodan Tincture Forte Color (pack size: 1 l) should have a effect for 15 seconds.

Application notes
Before all invasive interventions

use Kodan® undiluted
Spray the relevant skin area or apply it with a soaked swab, ensure complete wetting of the skin and observe exposure times
Record excess preparation to avoid puddle formation

With preoperative skin anticlaps

Shorten the hair on the affected skin area mechanically or chemically remove
Basic preoperative washes (e.g. with OCTENISAN®) are recommended
In order to avoid blurring skin markings, only use skin marking pencils with sufficient alcohol resistance (e.g. Devon ™ surgical mini marking pin (REF 31146020)))
