Field of use

• The medicine contains a so -called antifungal, a remedy for fungal infections.
• The drug is used to treat the discharge and inflammation of the vagina due to fungal infections (mycoses) with Candida Albicans.
  • Explanation:
    • Candida Albicans is a mushroom that can also be detectable on the skin and in many women in the vagina. Only with excessive increase does a fungal disease (mycosis) arise, which is mostly noticeable through redness, burning, itching, discharge and painful inflammation. Safe detection is only possible by the gynecologist.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are hypersensitive to clotrimazole or one of the other components.

dosage

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • 1 Vaginal tablet (200 mg clotrimazole) is usually used once a day.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The doctor decides on the duration of the application depending on the extent and localization of the disease. A sufficiently long application is important for success.
  • In general, an application on 3 consecutive days is sufficient. If necessary, however, a second treatment can be connected to medical instruction over a further 3 days.
  • Please keep the recommended time even if you feel better before!

 

• If you have used a larger amount of the medicine than you should
  • No overdoses or poisoning can be expected in the event of intended use.
  • If the medicine, e.g. B. taken in considerable quantities, so no severe symptoms of poisoning can be expected. However, complaints such as abdominal pain and nausea can occur. To be on the safe side, the doctor should be notified.
  • If you have accidentally introduced more than 1 vaginal tablet when using the medicine, there are also no difficult side effects. In this case, reduce the application to the intended dose in consultation with your doctor and also adhere to the treatment plan.

 

• If you have forgotten the application of the medicine
  • If you have forgotten the application in the event of an intended treatment, you will only apply the prescribed dose every day for the next time. If you have forgotten multiple applications, please speak to your doctor to what extent you have to extend the duration of treatment.

 

• If you cancel the application from the medicine
  • Please discuss the further procedure with your doctor, since in this case the success of treatment is at risk.

  

Taking

• The vaginal tablets are introduced vaginally in the evening before going to bed. This is best done in a back with slightly attracted legs.
• Treatment should not be used during menstruation DURCh was carried out or be completed before the start.
  

Patient information

• Particular caution when using the medicine is required:
  • In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the other components of the vaginal tablets, a different dosage form with clotrimazole should be used without the component in question (e.g. vaginal cream).
  • During the treatment, you should only use desodorants or means of intimate hygiene after consultation with your doctor, since a reduction in the effectiveness cannot be excluded from the drug.
  • With the simultaneous infection of the labia and adjacent areas or in the case of medically diagnosed inflammation of the partner and the foreskin of the partner through a fungal infection, additional local treatment with the forms provided should take place.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • The medicine has no effect on the ability to use machines.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • For reasons of caution, you may only use the medicine in pregnancy after appropriate benefits/risk assessment by your treating doctor. During pregnancy, treatment with the vaginal tablets should be carried out without an applicator.
• Breastfeeding
  • During breastfeeding you can use the medicine to instruct your doctor.

The treatment should not be carried out during the monthly bleeding or should be completed before the start.
