Patient information
- Particular caution when taking the preparation is required
- if you suffer from certain innate blood formation disorders (e.g. acute intermittent porphyria)
- if you have certain autoimmune diseases (systemic lupus erythematosus and mixed collagenosis)
- if you have gastrointestinal disorders or chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis, disease Crohn)
- if you suffer from restricted kidney or liver function
- with drying out (dehydration)
- if you suffer from high blood pressure and/or heart muscle weakness (heart failure) or have ever suffered
- if you suffer from allergies (e.g. skin reactions on other medicinal products, asthma, hay fever), chronic mucosal swelling or chronic respiratory diseases, since you then have an increased risk of the occurrence of a hypersensitivity reaction
- in the case of blood clotting disorders
- immediately after larger surgical interventions
- Side effects can be reduced by using the lowest effective dose via the shortest period required for symptom control.
- If used for a long time, regular control of your liver values, kidney function and the blood count is required.
- The preparation belongs to a group of drugs (NSAID) that can affect the fertility of women. This effect is reversible after stopping the drug (reversible).
- Security in the gastrointestinal tract
- Simultaneous use with other non-steroidal anti-rheumatics (NSAID) including so-called cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors should be avoided.
- Older patients:
- In older patients, side effects occur more frequently after using NSAR, in particular bleeding and breakthroughs in the gastrointestinal tract, which can be fatal.
- Bleeding, ulcers and breakthroughs (perforations) in the gastrointestinal tract:
- Bleeding, ulcers or perforations in the gastrointestinal tract, which can be fatal, were reported with all NSAIDs during treatment.
- They occurred with or without prior warning signs or serious events in the gastrointestinal tract in the prehistory at any time of treatment.
- The risk of bleeding, ulcers or perforations in the gastrointestinal tract is higher with increasing NSAR dose if you already had an ulcer, especially when bleeding or breakthroughs occurred as complications and in older patients.
You should start treatment with the lowest available dose. Please speak to your doctor because combination treatment with protective medicinal products (e.g. misoprostol or proton pump inhibitors) could be considered. This also applies if you also take low-dose acetylsalicylic acid or other active ingredients that are likely to increase the risk of gastrointestinal diseases. - If there have been side effects in the gastrointestinal tract in the past, especially at older age, you should report all unusual symptoms in the abdomen (especially bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract), especially at the beginning of the treatment.
- Caution is advisable if you apply medicinal products at the same time that can increase the risk of ulcers or bleeding, such as: B. Corticosteroids to take, anti-blood clotting drugs such as warfarin, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or plates aggregation inhibitors such as acetylsalicylic acid.
- If there is bleeding or ulcers in the gastrointestinal tract during treatment with the preparation, the treatment must be ended.
- Effects on the blood vessels of the heart and brain (cardiovascular and cerebrovascular effects)
- Medicines like this may be associated with a slightly increased risk of heart attacks ("heart attack") or strokes.
- Any risk is more likely at high doses and the treatment lasts longer.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment (3 days for migraine head pain or fever and 4 days for pain treatment).
- If you suffer from heart problems or have a stroke in the past or think that you could have a risk to these diseases (e.g. if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol or are smokers), you should take your treatment with your Discuss the doctor or pharmacist.
- Skin reactions
- Very rare was reported during treatment with NSAID about serious skin reactions with redness and blistering, some of which were fatal (exfoliative Dermatitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis/Lyell syndrome. The highest risk of such reactions seems to be at the beginning of the treatment, since these reactions occurred in the majority of cases in the first month of treatment.
- When the rash appears for the first time, mucous membrane wounds or other signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, you have to take your doctor to take it and see your doctor immediately.
- During a chickenpox infection, it is advisable to avoid the use of the preparation.
- Further information
- Severe acute hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. anaphylactic shock) were observed in very rare cases. At the first sign of a hypersensitivity reaction after taking the preparation, the treatment must be canceled. The symptoms corresponding, medically required measures must be initiated by expert persons.
- You should drink enough during treatment, especially in the case of fever, diarrhea or vomiting.
- If painkillers are used for a long time, headaches can occur that may not be treated with increased doses of the drug.
- In general, the habitual intake of pain relievers, especially when combining several pain relieving active ingredients, can lead to permanent kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure (analgesic nephropathy).
- NSAIDs like ibuprofen can hide the signs of infections and fever.
- Wateriness and operating machines
- Since side effects such as fatigue, dizziness and visual disturbances can occur when using the preparation, the responsibility and the ability to participate in road traffic and to operate machines can be impaired in individual cases. This applies to an increased extent in combination with alcohol.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy:
If pregnancy is determined during the use of the preparation, you should notify the doctor. In the first 6 months of pregnancy, you can only take ibuprofen after consultation with the doctor. In the last 3 months of pregnancy, the preparation must not be taken due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child.
Still -time:

In general, the habitual intake of pain relievers, especially when combining several pain relieving active ingredients, can lead to permanent kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure.
In the event of severe pain in the upper abdomen, blood in the stool or in the event of vomiting blood, the medicine must be removed immediately and a doctor must be consulted.
A doctor must be informed immediately for visual disturbances, and the medicine must no longer be taken.
