Field of use

• The active ingredient hydrocortisone is a synthetically produced glucocorticoid (adrenal hormone) for use on the skin.
• The cream is used to relieve moderately pronounced inflammatory skin diseases.

Contradictions

• The cream must not be used
  • if they are hypersensitive (allergic) against hydrocortisone or one of the other components.
  • for specific skin diseases (syphilis, tuberculosis), viral infections (e.g. chickenpox, herpes simplex, herpes zoster), vaccination reactions, mushroom infestation (mycosis), bacterial skin infections, acne vulgaris, steroid acne, skin inflammation with oral (perioral dermatitis) and inflammatory redness Face (rosacea).

dosage

• Always apply the cream exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• The usual dose for adults and children from the age of 6 is:
  • At the beginning of the treatment: generally 1 - 2 times a day
  • With improvement in the clinical picture: Most of the time a one -time application per day is sufficient.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The cream may be used for a maximum of 2 weeks.
  • Children up to the age of 6 may only be treated with the medicine in accordance with the medical prescription. One application per day is usually sufficient here. The duration of the application is determined by the treating physician.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • Reduce the dose or - if possible - put the medication after high -dosed and long -lasting (longer than four weeks).
  • In the case of long -term (longer than four weeks) large -scale (more than 1/10 of the body surface), especially under final associations or on heavily pre -damaged skin, the active ingredient in the body and thus side effects such as e.g. B. inhibition of the adrenal gland or M. Cushing (trunk fat, full moon face). In this case, see your doctor.

 

• If you have forgotten the application:
  • Do not apply the double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

 

• If you cancel the application:
  • You could endanger the success of the treatment. Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before you cancel the treatment.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Patient information

• Special care in the application is required:
  • when using the face (especially in the area of the eyes; in the event of a assessment: risk of increasing the intraocular pressure) and when applying in body folds (intertriginous area), in the area of skin ulcers (ulcers), as well as the genital and anal area.
  • Special caution is begg older people (old -age skin) required as a result of a weakened barrier performance of the horny layer, or in children as a result of a larger body surface in relation to body weight. Do not apply to open wounds. Do not apply the cream to any larger area than 1/10 of the body surface.
  • Children
    • The cream must not be applied in children under the age of 6 without a medical prescription.

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • There is no impact on the traffic and operating machines.

Pregnancy

• You may only apply the medicine after strict indication during pregnancy and lactation.
• During pregnancy, especially in the first three months of pregnancy, and during breastfeeding you should not use the medicine (more than 1/10 of the body surface) or in the long term (longer than four weeks). In the event of long -term use, growth disorders of the unborn child cannot be ruled out. In the case of treatment at the end of pregnancy, the fetus has the risk of reducing (atrophy) of the adrenal cortex.
• Glucocorticoids pass into breast milk. If the indication is mandatory, there should be quenched. During breastfeeding, do not apply the cream in the area of the breast to avoid undesirable oral admission from the infant. Newborns, whose mothers were treated long -term and/or large -scale with corticoids during pregnancy or lactation, should be increasingly observed for possible undesirable consequences.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.
