Field of use

• The medicine is a medicine to stimulate ammonia detoxification by increasing urea synthesis in the liver. It also serves the ammonia detoxification in the tissue, i.e. outside the liver (extrahepatic).
• The medicine is used to treat accompanying and consequential diseases based on disturbed detoxification performance of the liver (e.g. in the case of cirrhosis of the liver) with the symptoms of latent and manifest hepatic encephalopathy.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used/applied
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against ornithine partition or one of the other components of the medicine
  • if you suffer from stronger kidney dysfunction (renal insufficiency). A serum creatininin value above 3 mg/100 ml can be considered as guideline.

dosage

• Take/always use the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
  • The recommended dose is:
    • Take the content of 1 bag solved up to 3 times a day.

 

• If you have taken/applied a larger amount of the medicine than you should:
  • Poisoning has not yet been observed when the ornithine partition is overdosed.
  • If necessary, your doctor will take treatment of the complaints you occur.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake/application of the medicine:
  • Do not use the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake/application.
  • Next time, continue taking, as described in the dosage instructions.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• The medicine is a granules to manufacture a solution.
• The medicine is dissolved in plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water, tea or juice) for meals or then.
• The ready -to -use solution must be taken immediately after production.

  • So far there is no data for use in children.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines:
  • Due to the disease, your ability to guide motor vehicles and to operate machines can also be impaired under therapy with the medicine.

Pregnancy

• The safety of the drug during pregnancy is not proven.
• If you are pregnant, you should therefore only take the medicine on the order of your doctor.
• It is not known whether the active ingredient from the medicine goes into breast milk. You should therefore do the medicinal product during breastfeedingr take on the order of your doctor.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.

- Due to the disease, the ability to carry motor vehicles and to operate machines can be affected by taking the drug.
