Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against the active ingredient bisacodyl or one of the other components of the preparation
  • in the case of intestinal obstruction.

dosage

• Always take the preparation exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • Children up to the age of 10
    • chronic constipation should only be treated on medical instruction
  • In children under 2 years
    • bisacodyl should not be used.
  • Short -term application in constipation
    • Adults and children over 10 years
      • 1 - 2 covered tablets (5 - 10 mg) daily before going to bed to achieve an immediate occurrence.
    • Children from 2-10 years
      • 1 excessive tablet (5 mg) daily before going to bed to achieve an immediate occurrence.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The medicine may only be used in the short term (at most up to one week) without medical instruction. In the event of chronic constipation, the doctor should be consulted.
  • Please speak to your doctor if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • Overdosing can lead to diarrhea. If you have severe complaints, ask your doctor for advice.

 

• If you forgot to take the drug
  • Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor and pharmacist.

Taking

• It is best to take the tablets in the evening or sober with plenty of liquid in the evening or in the morning.
• Taking it in the evening leads to intestinal emptying after about 10 hours.
• The morning sober intake leads to intestinal emptying after about 6 hours.
