Hay flowers are the flowers of the various grasses that grow in the meadows. Laboratory tests have shown that a handful of hay flowers contain around 50 different types of flowers. Due to the high biodiversity, the hay flowers contain many different natural active ingredients that care for the body.

Hay flowers are considered an old household remedy that Pastor Kneipp has already used successfully. They have a supportive effect on rheumatic complaints, sciatica, muscle tension, joint problems, colic or lumbago, promote the metabolism, calm and purify. Hay flower applications are therefore considered a real source of well-being, relaxation and health.

Due to the heat, the hay flowers release their diverse active ingredients and essential oils, which are absorbed through the skin and breathing and thus unfold their effect in two ways.

Application:
A decoction can be obtained from the hay flowers, which is used as a bath additive or for pads.

Bath additive: Pour 1 liter of cold water over 100g of hay flowers and bring to the boil. Then let the brew steep for about 30 minutes, then strain it and add it to the bath water. The optimal bathing temperature is 35 - 38°C, the duration should be between 10 and 15 minutes. In order for the bath to develop its optimal relaxing effect, you should then rest in bed for at least an hour, covered up warmly.

Hay flower wrap: Prepare the hay flower brew as described above and dip a linen cloth (e.g. tea towel) in it. This wrap is placed directly on the painful area, a towel and then a warm blanket are placed over it.

Optimum exposure time: approx. 1 hour
