Field of use

• The tablets are a sleeping pills from the group of antihistamines.
• They are used for short -term treatment of sleep disorders.
• Soothing/sleeping pills should only be used for sleep disorders of clinically significant severity.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to diphenhydramin hydrochloride, against other antihistamines or one of the other components of this medicine.
  • with acute asthma.
  • with green star (Engwinklaucom).
  • for certain tumors of the adrenal cord (Phäochromocytom).
  • if the prostate gland is enlarged with residual urine formation.
  • in epilepsy.
  • for potassium or magnesium deficiency.
  • with slow heartbeat (bradycardia).
  • for certain heart diseases (congenital QT syndrome or other clinically significant heart damage, in particular circulatory disorders of the coronary arteries, arousal disorders, arrhythmias).
  • when the use of drugs, which also extend the so -called QT interval in the EKG or lead to hypocalaemia.
  • if the "Mao-inhibitors" "(means of treating depression) in the same time.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should

  • Rhabdomyolyses (severe muscle damage) have also been observed.

 

• W.if you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Taking

• The tablets are taken in the evening 30 minutes before going to bed with some liquid (water).
• A sufficient sleeping time (7 - 8 hours) should then be guaranteed.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the preparation.
  • Special caution when taking it is necessary if you suffer from one of the following diseases:
    • limited liver function
    • chronic lung diseases or asthma
    • certain stomach dysfunction (pylorus stenosis or achalasia of cardia).
  • After repeated sleeping pills over a longer period of time, there may be a loss of effectiveness (tolerance).
  • As with other sleeping pills, taking the tablets can lead to the development of physical and mental dependence. The risk of dependency increases with the dose and the duration of the treatment. This risk is also increased in patients with alcohol, drug or drug addiction in the history.
  • When ending treatment with the tablets, sleep disorders can temporarily reappear. It is therefore recommended to end the treatment by gradual reduction in the dose.
  • Children and adolescents
    • Children and adolescents are not allowed to take these tablets.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • After taking the tablets, no vehicles may be managed or dangerous machines may be operated.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.

Miscellaneous.

On the following day, too, drug immobilization and impaired reaction capacity can have a negative impact on the ability to drive or the ability to work with machines. This applies in particular to inadequate sleeping time or in interaction with alcohol.

Influence of laboratory parameters
- The medicine may be possible with allergy tests.lSch-negative test results and should therefore be discontinued at least 3 days in advance.
