Field of use

• The medicine is a cornea -proceeding agent.
• To remove strong corners (hyperkeratoses) e.g. chicken eyes (clavus), callus (callus) or warts (Verrucae).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are hypersensitive to salicylic acid, salicylates or one of the other components of the medicine.
  • in infants.
  • on damaged skin (e.g. inflammation, wounds, eczema).
  • The drug should not be used in patients with restricted kidney function (renal failure). Salicylic acid preparations may only use these patients under certain conditions and with special caution. Please ask your doctor.

 

dosage

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction.
• Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
    • Glue a pavement or paving piece directly onto the horny skin.
    • The daily maximum dose for adults of 2 g salicylic acid (this corresponds to approx. 1 1/3 plaster) and for children of 0.2 g SAlicylic acid (this corresponds to approx. 1/7 plaster) must not be used for more than a week.

 

• Duration of the application
  • After 2 days the patch should be renewed, after about 4 days the soft cornea can be removed in a warm soap or salt bath. In persistent cases, treatment must be repeated.
  • The duration of the usage will be decided by the medicating doctor.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have used a larger amount of the medicine than you should
  • In the event of external use of salicylic acid preparations, even if the specified maximum quantities are exceeded, no toxic side effects can be expected. Skin irritation can occur locally. As a countermeasure, removing the preparation is sufficient.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• The paving piece, which is cut in accordance with the affected skin, is glued to the pavement piece, which is thoroughly cleaned with water and soap.

Patient information
