- Hypersensitivity to other pain relievers (analgesics)/inflammatory inhibitors (anti -inflammatory drugs)/certain medicines against rheumatism (anti -rheumatics) or other allergy
- if allergies exist (e.g. with skin reactions, itching, nettle fever), asthma, hay fever, nasal mucosal swelling (nasal polyps) or chronic respiratory diseases
- with simultaneous treatment with anti -blood clotting medicines;
- for gastric or intestinal ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding in the history
- with limited liver function
- with limited kidney function or reduced blood and vascular blood flow (e.g. vascular disease of the kidneys, heart muscle weakness, reduction in blood volume, larger operations, blood poisoning or greater bleeding): Acetylsalicylic acid can further increase the risk of kidney functional disorder and acute kidney failure;
- before operations (even with smaller interventions such as pulling a tooth): There may be an increased tendency to bleed. Please inform your doctor or dentist if you have taken this medicine
- in patients with severe glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenic defect: acetylsalicylic acid can cause accelerated breakdown or decay of red blood cells or a certain form of anemia. This risk can be done by factors such as B. high doses, fever or acute infections are increased.
- Effects on the gastrointestinal tract
- A simultaneous use of acetylsalicylic acid with other non-steroidal inflammatory inhibitors, including so-called Cox inhibitors (cyclooxygenase-2-inhibitors), which, among. be used against rheumatic symptoms must be avoided.
- In older patients, side effects occur more after using non-steroidal inflammatory inhibitors, in particular bleeding in the stomach and intestinal area that can be life-threatening.
- Bleeding, ulceration and breakdowns (perforations) in the gastrointestinal area that can lead to death was reported in connection with the intake of all non-steroidal inflammatory inhibitors. They occurred with or without prior warning symptoms or serious events in the gastrointestinal tract in the prehistory at any time of therapy. The risk of this is increased with increasing NSAR dose, in patients with ulcers in the history, especially with the complications bleeding or breakthrough and in the elderly.
- Patients, especially at older age who have a history of side effects on the gastrointestinal tract, should report any unusual symptom in the abdominal cavity, especially at the beginning of the therapy.
- Caution is required in patients who also take medicinal products that increase the risk of ulcers or bleeding, e.g. B. corticoids, anti-blood clotting medication such as warfarin, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, which, among others,. are prescribed for the treatment of depressed moods or thrombocyte aggregation inhibitors.
- Treatment must be canceled if bleeding or ulcer formation occurs in the gastrointestinal tract.
- What else do you need to look out for?
- Side effects can be reduced by using the lowest effective dose via the shortest period required for symptom control.
- If pain relievers are used permanently, headaches can occur, which lead to re -intake and thus in turn can cause a continuation of the headache.
- The habitual intake of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage lead with the risk of kidney failure (analgesic nephropathy). This risk is particularly great if you take several different painkillers combined.
- Acetylsalicylic acid reduces uric acid excretion in low doses. In the case of correspondingly endangered patients, this may trigger a gout attack.
- Children and adolescents
- In children and adolescents with febrile illnesses, the medicine should only be applied to medical instructions and only applied if other measures do not work. If these diseases occur with long vomiting, this can be a sign of Reye syndrome, a very rare but life-threatening illness that is absolutely necessary for immediate medical treatment.
- Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine at:
- Wateriness and operating machines
- There are no special precautions required.
Pregnancy

- Breastfeeding
- The active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid and its breakdown products pass into breast milk in small quantities. Since adverse consequences for the infant have not yet become known, an interruption of breastfeeding will not be necessary for short -term use of the recommended dose with slight to moderately severe pain or slight fever. If you use or take higher doses for a long time, you should stop.

Hints
Miscellaneous
-Acetylsalicylic acid medicines should only be used in children and adolescents with feverish illnesses due to the possible occurrence of a Reye syndrome on medical instructions and only if other measures do not work. If these diseases occur long-lasting vomiting, this can be a sign of Reye syndrome, a very rare but life-threatening illness that requires absolutely medical treatment. Therefore, the regular control of the liver values, especially in children, is necessary.-In the case of liver or kidney dysfunction, the dose must be reduced or the income distances. Kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure (analgesic nephropathy) leads to more often and longer use, stomach ulcers and severe stomach bleeding can occur in rare cases, which can subsequently lead to severe anemia (anemia). When the black chair (TEERSUFL) occurs, the doctor can be notified immediately. In these cases the doctor is noticeablen. In the case of chronic intake of acetylsalicylic acid, headaches can occur, which can lead to another intake and thus in turn to maintain the headache. Redeen or worsen from acetylsalicylic acid signs of infection or worsen is recommended to see the doctor immediately. It must be checked whether the need for treatment is available.
