Field of use

The system is intended for use outside the body (in vitro diagnostics).
Only fresh capillary blood samples taken from the finger or alternative parts of the body such as the ball of the hand, upper and forearm, calf and thigh should be used for glucose measurement. The system is intended for use in home and clinical environments.
It is not intended for diagnosing diabetes or testing newborns.

Measuring principle
The test relies on measuring an electrical current caused by the reaction of glucose with the strip indicator. The measuring device determines the current and displays the corresponding blood sugar value. The strength of the current generated by the reaction depends on the glucose content of the blood sample.
