Field of use

Ginkgo STADA 80mg (package size: 120 pc) is a vegetable medicine to improve age -related cognitive impairment and quality of life in light dementia. Ginkgo STADA 80mg (pack size: 120 pc) contains a dry extract made of ginkgo biloba leaves.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to Ginkgo biloba extract or one of the other components of this medicine,
  • during pregnancy.

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose for adults and older patients is 1 and 1/2 film -coated tablet twice a day.
• The twice daily intake should take place in the morning and evening.
• Children and adolescents
  • There is no relevant indication for children and adolescents.
• Special patient groups
  • There is no data for dosage in the event of limited kidney or liver function.
• Duration of the application
  • The treatment should be at least 8 weeks.
  • If the symptoms have not improved after 3 months or the symptoms, whether the continuation of the treatment is still justified.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • No cases of overdose are known. They could increasingly suffer symptoms as described in the "side effects" category.
  • If you have taken an overdose of Ginkgo, contact your doctor or seek medical advice because you may need medical treatment.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Taking

• The film -coated tablets are taken orally. Do not take the tablets on the back. The tablets should be swallowed as a whole (not chewed) with liquid, preferably with a glass of drinking water. The intake can take place independently of the meals.

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine:
    • if you have a pathologically increased tendency to bleed (hemorrhagic diathesis) and at the same time treatment with blood -thinning medication,
    • if you are known to an antiquity (epilepsy),
    • if an operation is planned in the next 3 to 4 days,
    • when you take Efavirenz.
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if the symptoms deteriorate during treatment.
  • Children and adolescents
    • There is no relevant indication for children and adolescents.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • Your doctor will tell you whether your illness is allowed to drive you and operate machines.
  • There were no sufficient studies on the effects on the traffic and operating machines.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
• Pregnancy
  • Since there are individual indications that ginkgo-containing preparations could increase the willingness to bleed, this medicine must not be taken during pregnancy.
• Breastfeeding
  • This medicine should not be used during breastfeeding because there is no sufficient examinations. It is not known whether the ingredients of the extract change into breast milk.
