Field of use

• The medicine is a means of binding gastric acid (antacidum).
• The medicine is used at
  • Acid severity of various kinds such as heartburn or acid regurgitation.
  • For supporting therapy at Ulcus ventriculi et duodeni.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken if you
  • have a humiliated phosphate mirror in the blood (hypophosphatemia)
  • have a constipation of the bottlenecks in the large intestine (stenoses).
  • are hypersensitive (allergic) against aluminum magnesium silicate or one of the other components of the medicine.
  • The medicine must not be given infants.

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • Take up to 3 chewing tablets several times a day if necessary.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the treatment depends on the type and severity and the course of the disease.
  • Do not take the medicine without a medical or dental advice for more than 14 days.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of the medicine than you should
  • Poisoning by the medicine is unlikely due to the low absorption of aluminum and magnesium.
  • If overdose, there may be changes in stool behavior such as stool deviation or constipation.

Taking

• The chewing tablets are intended to take (for chewing or sucking).
• Other medicines should generally take place 1 to 2 hours before or after the medicine.
• Furthermore, you should take the medicine 1 to 2 hours after meals and before going to bed.

Patient information

• Particular caution when taking the medicine is required,
  • if you have a limited kidney function (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min), you may only take the medicine with regular control of magnesium and aluminum serum levels.
  • in patients with chronic renal failure, the aluminum plasper concentrations should be determined even if the medicine is used shortly. In addition, medical examinations are useful for these patients at regular intervals (about half a year) in order to recognize an enrichment of aluminum in the nervous system and the bones as early as possible.
  • The aluminum serum mirrors should be checked regularly with long-term use. This applies in particular to patients with kidney dysfunction.

  • There are no special precautions necessary.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy and breast feeding period
  • The benefit-risk ratio should be carefully weighed before taking aluminum-containing antacida during pregnancy.
  • You should only use the medicine at short notice during pregnancy to avoid aluminum pollution from the child.
  • Aluminum compounds pass into breast milk. A risk for the newborn cannot be assumed because only very small quantities are recorded.
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.

Miscellaneous

-The kidney dysfunction and with long-term use of high doses can lead to aluminum storage, especially in the nerve and bone tissue and phosphate raving
-The aluminum serum mirror should be checked regularly with long-term use and do not exceed 40 ng/ml
-In the case of chronic kidney dysfunction, the aluminum blood values should be determined even if the drug is used shortly. In addition, medical examinations are useful at regular intervals (about half a year) in order to recognize an enrichment of aluminum in the nervous system and the bones as early as possible
