Field of use

• The medicine is a means of treating fungal infections of the vagina. Clotrimazole, the active ingredient of the medicine, inhibits growth and increase in mushroom cells such as: B. Sprospilzen (yeasts) as well as a number of other mushrooms and some bacteria.
• Application areas
  • Infectious discharge, caused by yeast mushrooms, inflammation of the vagina and labia by mushrooms - mostly yeast mushrooms of the genus Candida - as well as overlapping infections (super infections) with clotrimazole -sensitive bacteria.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against clotrimazole or one of the other components of the medicine.

dosage

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• The treatment should not be carried out during menstruation.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • on 3 consecutive days, insert a vaginal tablet as deep as possible into the vagina on 3 consecutive days. In the case of infections of the labia (Candida vulvitis) and adjacent areas, apply the cream 1 to 3 times a day on the corresponding skin areas (outer genitals up to the anus).
  • Notice
    • With dry sheath, the vaginal tablet may not dissolve. This can be recognized by the fact that solid crocks are excreted that z. B. find in the underwear. In this case, the treatment with the vaginal cream should be carried out.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

 

• Duration of the application
  • In general, the signs of vaginal inflammation caused by fungi (such as itching, discharge, burning) decrease significantly within the first 4 days after the treatment. If the outer signs of the disease have not fully subsided after 4 days, please contact your doctor.
  • Treatment on 3 consecutive days is usually sufficient to eliminate a fungal infection. If necessary, however, a second treatment cycle can be connected.
  • The general therapy duration for the cream is 1-2 weeks for infections of the labia.
  • Since vagina and labia are mostly affected, combination treatment (treatment of both areas) should be carried out.

 

• If you have used a larger amount of the medicine than you should
  • No cases of overdosing have been reported so far.

 

• If you have forgotten the application of the medicine
  • If you have forgotten the application in the evening, you can use the applicationcatch up in the course of the following in the morning. If you have forgotten an application, the next time you will only apply a vaginal tablet and continue the treatment as recommended.

 

• If you cancel the application from the medicine
  • In order to achieve a complete healing of the infection and prevent a relapse, you should not end or interrupt the treatment prematurely without consulting your doctor. If you do this anyway, there is a fear of returning the symptoms, since your fungal infection is probably not yet properly healed. However, you should not cancel the treatment after the complaints have subsided, but consistently continue over 3 days.

 

 

Taking

• Vaginal tablets:
  • Insert the vaginal tablets into the vagina in the evening as deeply as possible
• Cream:
  • Apply the cream on the corresponding skin areas (outer genitals up to the anus).

Patient information

• Particular caution when using the medicine is required,
  • Please ask your doctor:
    • when the disease occurs for the first time
    • if you have occurred for you more than 4 such fungal infections over the past 12 months

  • There are no special precautions required.
