The active ingredients are: lidocaine and prilocaine.

Each ML of the solution contains 150 mg lidocaine and 50 mg prilocaine.
Each spray provides 50 μl that contain 7.5 mg lidocaine and 2.5 mg prilocaine.
1 dose corresponds to 3 sprays.

The other component is: Norfluran.

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.
If you or your partner are allergic to lidocaine or prilocaine or one of the other components of this medicine.
If you or your partner have reacted allergic or hypersensitive to other local narcotics with a similar structure (known as local narcotics from the amid type).

Always apply this medicine as described in this package insert. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose of for fortacin is 3 sprays (3 sprays = 1 dose) on the glans at least 5 minutes before sexual intercourse. Within 24 hours, a maximum of 3 doses may be used between the individual doses at an intervals of at least 4 hours. The recommended maximum dose (3 doses within 24 hours) should not be exceeded.

Instructions
Before the first application, shake the spray can briefly and make the pump mechanism ready to use by 3 times sprays in the air. Keep the spray can away from the faces to avoid contact the drug with your eyes, nose, mouth and ears.

Pull the foreskin back to clear the glans. Keep the can upright (spray valve upwards) and spray 1 dose fortacin (3 sprays) on the entire glans, so that a third of the glans is sprayed with each spray.
Wait 5 minutes and then wipe off excess spray before sexual intercourse. Excess spray must also be wiped off if you use a condom (see also section 2 in the instructions for use with regard to further important information about the use of condoms).

Application with condoms:
Fortacin may not be used with latex-free male or women's condoms made of polyurethane, since these can be damaged when using fortacin and therefore may not be in front of diseases or Protect pregnancy. Fortacin can be used with contraceptives made of latex rubber, polyisoprene, nitrile and silicone, since no damage has been determined.   • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine,

Remember that the normal protective mechanism, such as the eyelid, or the perception of foreign bodies, may not work in the eye until the feeling of numbness has receded.
  • This medicine can also come into contact with other mucous membranes or your partner, such as your mouth, nose and throat, and lead to a slight feeling of numbness for a short time. This lowers the ability of pain sensation in these parts of the body. There should be special caution not to hurt them until the feeling of numbness has receded.
