Field of use

Contradictions

Thefsitivity reactions can occur against all medicines, then you have to stop taking the medication immediately. If an allergy to the active ingredient or one of the other components of the drug is known, it must not be applied.

- Depending on the need, 1-3 tablets (5-15 mg folic acid) per day

- Take the tablets with liquid with meals

- The duration of the treatment depends on the extent of the folic acid defect and depends on the symptoms and the corresponding laboratory values.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist!- Studies on pregnant women with daily amounts of up to 5 mg folic acid have no evidence of damage to the embryo or fetus. Folic acid replacement can reduce the risk of spinal cord defects.

- The cause of a megaloblast anemia must be clarified before the start of treatment. -In the case of megaloblast anemia, a possible vitamin B12 deficiency must be excluded due to the risk of nerve disorders before the start of treatment.
