Instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How should it be used?
Spray the medicine onto the affected area of the throat and pharynx. Do not inhale the medicine while spraying.

Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for more than 3 days without medical advice. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Overdose?
An overdose may cause, among other things, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and visual disturbances. If you suspect an overdose, consult a doctor immediately.

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient inhibits inflammatory processes, relieves pain, and reduces fever. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances called prostaglandins. These play a key role in the development of pain, fever, and inflammation.
Flurbiprofen's anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects are used primarily on the pharyngeal mucosa and the eye.

Flurbiprofen STADA® 8.75 mg/dose oromucosal spray, solution, for the short-term symptomatic treatment of acute sore throat in adults

Sore throats often occur in conjunction with colds and cause discomfort, especially when swallowing. This leads to difficulty eating and a hoarse voice, which significantly impairs everyday life.

Flurbiprofen STADA® provides fast, long-lasting relief. The active ingredient reliably inhibits inflammation and ensures that pain subsides rapidly, starting just 5 minutes after application. The effect lasts up to 6 hours, providing a long-lasting effect that lasts overnight when applied in the evening. The practical spray formulation also allows for easy targeted application directly to the site of inflammation using the applicator. Furthermore, Flurbiprofen STADA® contains no antibiotics, is alcohol-free, and is sugar-free, as well as suitable for adults aged 18 and over.

INHALTSSTOFFE
The active ingredient is flurbiprofen. One dose (3 sprays) contains 8.75 mg flurbiprofen. One spray contains 2.92 mg flurbiprofen. 1 ml of oromucosal spray, solution, contains 16.2 mg flurbiprofen.

The other ingredients are:
Betadex (E 459), hydroxypropyl betadex (0.58–0.68), sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (Ph. Eur.), citric acid, sodium hydroxide, saccharin sodium (Ph. Eur.) Eur.) (E 954), cherry flavor (contains ethanol, propylene glycol, D-limonene, citral, and eugenol), mint flavor (contains ethanol, propylene glycol, and D-limonene), and purified water.

ANWENDUNGSEMPFEHLUNG

Adults aged 18 years and over:
Application: Spray one dose of 3 sprays into the back of the throat every 3–6 hours as needed. Use a maximum of 5 doses (15 sprays) in any 24-hour period.

Children and adolescents
Do not use this medicine in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

This medicine should not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, dizziness and visual disturbances are possible side effects after using NSAIDs. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are affected.

Can pregnant or breastfeeding women take Flurbiprofen STADA® 8.75 mg/dose oromucosal spray, solution?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. Do not use Flurbiprofen STADA® Spray if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy. You should not use Flurbiprofen STADA® Spray during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless clearly necessary and recommended by your doctor. If you need treatment during this time, you should use the lowest dose for the shortest duration necessary.
