Field of use

• Dqualinium chloride, the active ingredient of the preparation, belongs to the family of anti -infective and antiseptic medicines. Dqualinium chloride acts against bacteria that cause bacterial vaginosis (a disturbance of the vaginal flora with a characteristic germ settlement).
• The medicine is used to treat bacterial vaginosis.
• It is inserted into the vagina for treatment at the location of the infection.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used:
  • if you are allergic to the active ingredient of the compalinium chloride or one of the other components of this medicine.
  • if you have ulcers in the vagina or at the cervix.
  • if you haven't had your first period yet.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• The recommended dose is 1 vaginal tablet daily over 6 days.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • The use of higher daily doses or an extension of the recommended treatment duration can increase the risk of vaginal ulcers.
  • If you have accidentally used too many vaginal tablets, inform your doctor.

 

• If you have forgotten the application
  • Do not apply the double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

 

• If you cancel the application
  • Treatment of less than 6 days can lead to a recurrence of the disease. Therefore, the treatment should not be canceled prematurely, even if they have no complaints (e.g. itching, discharge, smell).

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of this medicine, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• Notes for use
  • Use the vaginal tablets every evening before going to bed.
  • Wash your hands before opening the blister pack.
  • Place on your back with slightly dressed legs and insert a vaginal tablet deep into the vagina.
  • During the strong bleeding phase of menstruation, the treatment must be canceled and then resumed.
  • The treatment should not be canceled prematurely, even if they have no complaints (e.g. itching, discharge, smell). Treatment of less than 6 days can lead to a recurrence of the disease.
  • The preparation may contain components that do not completely dissolve, so that there are occasionally found tablet remains in the underwear. This is of no importance for the effectiveness of disposable chloride treatment. There is no discoloration of the underwear, but for your own well -being you can bind or use panty liners.
  • In the event of vaginal dryness, the vaginal tablet may dissolve nicht and is excreted out of the vagina as an intact tablet. In such cases, treatment is not optimal. In this case, the vaginal tablet can be moistened in a very dry sheath with a drop of water before inserting it.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Intravaginal use of soaps, spermicides and vague showers (vaginal rinsing) is advised against the preparation during treatment.
  • As with all vaginal infections, the unprotected sexual intercourse is advised.
  • The drug does not reduce the effectiveness of latex condoms.
  • This product can reduce the effectiveness of latex -free condoms or diaphragms. Therefore, you should use other contraceptive measures up to 12 hours after the treatment.
  • Do not use the preparation within 12 hours before birth to reduce the exposure of the newborn with disposable chloride. Otherwise, please inform your doctor.
  • During the strong bleeding phase of menstruation, the treatment must be canceled and then resumed.
  • Please speak to your doctor if the symptoms last after the end of the treatment or the symptoms occur again.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • The drug should have no influence on the traffic and the ability to use machines. No studies were carried out for this.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • If you are pregnant, or if you suspect to be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
• Breastfeeding
  • Find out your doctor or pharmacist if you breastfeed or intend to satisfy.
• Based on the previous experiences and due to the fact that the medicinal product works locally, no harmful effects on pregnancy and/or the unborn and the breastfed infant are expected. The preparation should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if the medical necessity exists.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking all drugs.
