Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine for liquefaction, tough mucus in the airways.
• For the mucus solution and for facilitated coughing in the case of respiratory diseases with a tough mucus.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are allergic to acetylcysteine or one of the other components of this medicine.
• The medicine must not be used in children under 2 years.

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described here or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The following information applies unless your doctor prescribed the medicine.
• Please adhere to the application regulations, otherwise the medicine cannot work properly!
• Application in children and adolescents
  • Children from 2-5 years:
    • 2 - 3 times a day 5 ml solution corresponds to 100 mg acetylcysteine 2 - 3 times a day.
  • Children from 6-14 years:
    • 10 ml solution 2 times a day, according to 200 mg acetylcysteine.
  • Adults and adolescents from the age of 14:
    • 3 times 10 ml solution 3 times a day, according to 200 mg acetylcysteine.

 

• Duration of the application
  • If the clinical picture worsens or no improvement occurs after 4 - 5 days, you should see a doctor.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • In the event of overdose, irritation symptoms in the gastrointestinal area (e.g. abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) can occur.
  • Serious side effects or symptoms have so far not been observed even after massive overdose of acetylcysteine tablets. If you suspect an overdose, please notify your doctor.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Once you have forgotten to take the medicine or have taken too little, please continue taking as described in the dosage instructions.

 

• If you cancel the intake
  • Please stop treatment with your doctor with no consultation with your doctor.
  • Your illness might worsen by this.

 

• If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• The medicine is taken according to the meals according to the dosing instructions.
• Notice:

  • The medicine has no influence or a negligible influence on the traffic or the ability to use machines

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
• Since there is no sufficient experience with the use of acetylcysteine during pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only apply the medicine during pregnancy and during breastfeeding if your treating doctor considers this absolutely necessary.
