Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • If they are hypersensitive (allergic) against the active ingredients or one of the other components of the drug.
  • If you have a narrowing of the esophagus.
  • If you suffer from hereditary iron storage disease (hemochromatosis).
  • If you suffer from iron overload (chronic hemolysis, thalassemia, other hemoglobinopathies, chronic transfusion need).
  • If you suffer from iron recycling disorders (e.g. sideroachrestic anemia, lead anemia).
  • If you have a megaloblastary anemia as a result of an isolated vitamin B12 deficiency.

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction in this package insert. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose of adults and children from 6 years (with at least 20 kg body weight) is:
  • 1 hard capsule 3 times a day
• Older patients
  • There is no clinical data that a dose adjustment is required in older patients.
• Patients with kidney or liver dysfunction
  • There is no clinical data that requires dose adjustment in patients with kidney or liver dysfunction.
• Children and adolescents
  • The drug must not be used in children under the age of 6 (with a body weight of less than 20 kg).

 

• Duration of the application
  • The doctor determines the duration of the application.
  • Filling the body iron memory - depending on the severity of the anemia and the individual circumstances - can take between 3 to 6 months.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • If you have taken the medicine in too large quantities, you should inform a doctor immediately.
  • In the case of intended or accidental overdose, the symptoms described under side effects come to the fore. If there is an overdose with clinical signs of poisoning, contact a doctor immediately.
  • Overdosing can cause poisoning, especially in children.

 

• If you forgot to take the medicine

Taking

• Take Ferro Sanol Compy Hartkapseln Unzukaut with sufficient water (preferably 1 glass).
• The intake should be done soberly in the morning (approx. 1 hour before breakfast) or at a sufficient distance of about 2 hours before or after a meal.
• Notice
  • If there are any problems when swallowing or swallowing the capsule, the contents of the capsule can also be taken without the capsule shell.   • There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy
