Field of use

• Fabric or indication group:
  • The preparation is a salt -containing local therapy for the treatment of respiratory diseases.
• Application areas:
  • The preparation is used:
    • For supporting treatment through moisture, cleaning and swelling of the nasal mucosa in banal acute acute infections of the upper respiratory tract and chronic rhinosinusitis and as an accompanying treatment measure to accelerate the healing process after endonasal sinus surgery.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against one of the components of the preparation.
  • The preparation must not be inhaled if an earlier inhalation with isoosmotic Emser salt solution has already occurred acute shortness of breath.
  • Note: Special caution is given in patients with a pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract (such as asthma bronchial), since inhalations in these patients can lead to bronchocomstrictions with acute shortness of breath in very rare cases.

dosage

  • The preparation of adults, children and infants 3 - 4 times a day, whereby 5 ml solution should be inhaled through the nose with each inhalation. Depending on the device type, the volume, which must be used for atomization, can vary greatly. In this case, so much solution should be filled into the inhalation device that an inhalation period of 10-15 minutes is guaranteed.

• If you have used a larger amount of the preparation than you should or if you have forgotten the application of the drug
  • Risks due to the use of too large or too small amounts of the preparation are not known.
