Field of use

elmex gelée toothpaste to protect against caries and toothache.

With Elmex jelly (pack size: 25 g) make your caries protection even more effective. Only 1 x a week Elmex Jelly (pack size: 25 g) use and you are already making an active contribution to the protection and remineralization of the tooth enamel. Apply Elmex jelly (pack size: 25 g):

What is initial caries?
If the tooth loses minerals, a so -called initial caries is created under the surface. This is an early form of caries, in which the mineral losses are limited to the tooth enamel and the surface is still intact. Initial caries usually occur in children and adolescents at the gum and on the buying space as well as in adulthood in the interdental spaces. On the smooth surfaces of the teeth, an initial caries is usually shown as a chalky white spot.

The starting caries is reversible - with Elmex® gelée
Elmex® gelée builds up the tooth from the inside by complementing lost minerals and thus undoing the beginning of caries. Elmex® gelée is suitable for preventing caries, to support the treatment of initial caries and treatment of hypersensitive tooth necks.

Did you know that children have an increased risk of caries?

• Children do not yet reach 100% thorough covering removal when brushing their teeth.
• The tooth enamel of the new, permanent teeth is not yet completely mineralized after the breakthrough from the age of about 6 years and is therefore more susceptible to caries.
• There is an increased risk of caries for braces because there are difficult cleaning conditions.
• Children often like to snack. In particular, the sugar contained in food increases the risk of caries.

Elmex® gelée for children, adolescents and braces.

At around 6 years, children take place in children. Above all, the new, permanent teeth need special protection, because your tooth enamel is not yet fully hardened (mineralized) after the breakthrough and is therefore more susceptible to caries. Children and adolescents with braces also have an increased risk of caries due to difficult oral hygiene. Elmex® gelée builds the tooth from the inside by adding missing minerals. In this way, the curing of the tooth enamel is supported and the beginning of caries canceled.

Tip
Children and adolescents are entitled to free dental detection examinations and prophylaxis measures.

Mode of action

Elmex Jelly (pack size: 25 g) contains a special dental gel (1.25 %) to build the enamel. Elmex Jelle (pack size: 25 g) forms a fluoride depot on the tooth enamel, remineralized the tooth and thus protects against acid attacks and caries.

This corresponds to a fluoride content of 1.25 %. 1 cm elmex gelée (approx. 0.5 g gel) corresponds to 6.25 mg fluoride.

Other components: cleaned water, propylene glycol, hyetellosis, saccharin, apple aroma, peppermint aroma, frizzy oil, menthon aroma

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients and pathological change and violation of the oral mucosa, this product should not be used.
If the swallowing reflex cannot be checked (e.g. in children before school or disabled), alternatives such as fluoride tablets are preferable.

dosage

Application recommendation of Elmex jelly (pack size: 25 g):

For adults and children from the age of 6:
Once a week, apply about 1 cm Elmex® jelly (approx. 0.5 g gel according to 6.25 mg fluoride) to the toothbrush and brush your teeth.
Rinse after 2 to 3 minutes. The total time of the application (plaster and exposure time) must not exceed 5 minutes.
It is best to use in the evening before going to bed.
For targeted treatment of hypersensitive tooth necks, Elmex® jelly must be applied to the affected areas.
Elmex® jelly should only be used if the foam spitting out is dominated.

Elmex® jelly is a fluoride -containing toothpaste that prevents caries with regular use. The caries prophylaxis toothpaste protects the enamel from acid attacks. It mineralizes and hardens the teeth through the aminfluoride it contains.

Further information on the application
If the use of Elmex® jelly has been forgotten, it can be made up for at any time. It should be noted that all subsequent applications of Elmex® jelly in order to achieve effective caries prevention are exactly 7 days apart.

If the patient suffers from asthma bronchial or another disease of the respiratory tract Elmex® jelly should only be used under consultation with a doctor or dentist, since Elmex® Gelee contains frizzy and peppermint oil.

When may not be used Elmex® jelly?
There are no risks to use Elmex® jelly during pregnancy. However, the caries prevention toothpaste should be used with reservation during breastfeeding, since fluorides also get into breast milk.

Furthermore, Elmex® jelly may not be applied if an allergy to one of the components (e.g. sodium fluoride and declury) is present. In the event of a departure on the oral mucosa or if problems with the swallowing reflex (for example in small children or disabled people), Elmex® jelly should also not be used. Especially in small children under 2 years, due to the risk of larynx Elmex® jelly. .

Taking

- Apply about 1 cm gel to the toothbrush and brush your teeth
- Rinse after 2-3 minutes
- It is best to use in the evening before going to bed
- Left in the mouth for at least 2-4 minutes, but not longer than 5 minutes
- Rinse after application

Patient information

Particular caution is required in the application in patients with asthma bronchial or other respiratory diseases. Because of the content of peppermint oil and frizzy oil, these patients should consult with their doctor/dentist before using. According to the application, systemic fluoride intake (e.g. by fluoride tablets) should be exposed to a few days. According to the dentist's short -term successive, departure (desquamations), superficial defects (erosion) or ulcers (ulcerations) on the oral mucosa were very rarely observed. . The gel is incompatible with anionic surfactants and othersn anionic large molecules. Wateriness and operating machines: no special precautionary measures are required. Store drug out of reach of children.  

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist!

- There is no evidence that fluoride risks for the embryo.
- Fluorides pass into breast milk. The drug should therefore be used with caution during breastfeeding.

Miscellaneous

- After application, tablets should not be taken for a few days to prevent caries or osteoporosis (e.g. fluoride tablets).
