ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION FOR INFUSION 35 with glucose 5

Composition: 1 l contains: active ingredients: sodium acetate trihydrate 1.02 g, sodium chloride 1.61 g, glucose monohydrate 55.0 g (^ mmol/l: Na+ 35, Cl- 28, acetate 7). Otherwise. Consists: Water for injections, hydrochloric acid.

Application: In infants and small children up to the age of 2 to cover the liquid and partial carbohydrate requirements with normal metabolic function, initial treatment for oliguric or anuric dehydration, carrier solution for compatible electrolyte concentrates and medication.

Contraindications: Hyperhydration states, hyponatremia, hypokalemia, hypotonic dehydration. Electrolyte infusion solution 35 with glucose 5 is not suitable for intraoperative electrolyte replacement. Adverse: Frequency not known: Hospital-acquired hyponatraemia, hyponatraemic encephalopathy.
