Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken:
  • if you are hypersensitive to iron (II)-gluconate or other components,
  • in the case of anemia caused by infections or tumors, unless an iron deficiency exists,
  • in the case of iron overload of the body (e.g. hemochromatoses, chronic hemolysen),
  • for iron recycling disorders (sideroachrestic anemia, lead anemia, thalassemia).

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Dosage
  • Adults and adolescents over 50 kg take 1 - 2 excessive tablets 2 - 3 times a day.
  • Children from 12 kg body weight: 1 - 2 times a day 1 excessive tablet;
  • Children from 18 kg body weight: 2 - 3 times a day 1 excessive tablet.
  • It should be noted that the maximum daily dose of 6 mg iron/kg body weight must not be exceeded in children.
• The amount of iron to be performed by the body depends on the stage of iron deficiency. Please ask your doctor.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should:
  • Please inform your doctor.

 

• If you forgot to take it:
  • Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake. Next time, continue taking as described in the dosage instructions.

 

• If you stop taking:
  • Please contact your doctor or pharmacist beforehand, which can best assess any effects on your condition.

Taking

• Please take the covered tablets with sufficient water or mineral water. Take it 1/2 hour before meals is recommended.
