Field of use

• The medicine is a lipid lower.
• The preparation is used to reduce greatly increased blood fat (triglyceride) mirror. The medicine is also only administered if diet is insufficient to reduce the blood-fat level.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to omega-3-acid-rich fish oil or one of the other components of this medicine.
• You must not take the preparation for the following diseases:
  • acute and subacute pancreas, inflammation of the pancreas,
  • acute pancreatic gland-end (acute pancreatic necrosis),
  • acute to chronic liver toxications,
  • Liver shrinkage (cirrhosis of the liver) of all origin,
  • acute to chronic gallbladder inflammation,
  • Gall bladder extension (gallbladder temyem),
  • Disruption of fat digestion or fat emulsification in the small intestine by disease of the gallbladder and/or the pancreas,
  • Coagulation disorders.

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for adults is
  • With hypertriglyceridaemia, the medically prescribed dose can be up to 10-14 capsules per day.

 

• Duration of the application:
  • In the case of fat metabolism disorders, advice from the doctor is at the beginning of every treatment. In many cases, fat metabolism disorders due to changes in nutrition, increased physical exercise, weight loss and adequate treatment of a possibly different metabolic disease (diabetes, gout) must be influenced.
  • These measures should be preceded by taking pharmaceuticals for several weeks and are retained while taking the preparation.
  • Medicinal treatment is basically only an additional measure and only indicated if the metabolic disorder by the measures mentioned alone cannot be remedied.
  • The effect of the preparation can be different in individual cases. In order to achieve the desired treatment goal, long -term regular intake is required.
  • Another requirement is the strict compliance with all measures prescribed by the doctor. As with any long -term treatment, ongoing surveillance is also necessary here. The blood fat levels are repeated and regularly checked. At the same time, the need to continue the treatment should be checked.

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should:
  • With an overdose of more than 10 capsules beyond the normal daily dose, the side effects can occur to an increased extent. Interrupt the intake of the preparation for one day. Then take the normal dosage again.

 

• If you forgot to take the drug:

Pregnancy

• Animal experimental examinations with fish oil or fish oil concentrates gave no evidence of fruit -damaging effects. Such effects are neither known nor to be expected in a supply of omega-3 fatty acids corresponding to the usual healthy diet. So far there are no experience in pregnancy and lactation for the high doses required to treat hypertriglyceridemia. Medicines should only be used during pregnancy and lactation if it is considered necessary.
