Field of use

• The medicine is an increase in blood pressure.
• The preparation applied for circulatory regulation disorders with low blood pressure (hypotension), which when changing the body situation (e.g. when getting up or sitting) with symptoms such as dizziness, weakness, pale, sweat outbreak, flickering or black and black Blood pressure drop without an increase in the heartbeat rate.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if they are hypersensitive (allergic) against etilefrin hydrochloride, sodium disulfite, methyl (4-hydroxybenzoat) or propyl (4-hydroxybenzoat)
  • in the case of circulatory regulation disorders with low blood pressure when blood pressure and heartbeat rate rise in the stand (hypertone reaction)
  • in the case of high blood pressure (hypertension)
  • if a thyroid overactive thyroid (thyreotoxicosis)
  • in the case of a tumor of the adrenal gland (Phäochromocytom)
  • if the intraocular pressure increases (Engwinklaucoma)
  • in the case of emptying disorders of the bladder with residual urine formation, especially when the prostate gland is enlarged (prostateadenoma)
  • in the case of hardening of the blood vessels (sclerotic vascular changes)
  • in the heart of the coronary vessels with a strong narrowing of the coronary arteries (coronary heart disease)
  • with inadequate pumping function of the heart (decompensated heart failure)
  • in the case of cardiac arrhythmias in connection with severely accelerated heart rate (tachykarde cardiac arrhythmia)
  • in the event of a narrowing on the heart valves (heart valve stenosis) or a narrowing of the large arteries
  • in the case of a special disease of the heart muscle, which is accompanied by excessive and good growth of the heart muscle (hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy)
  • in the first 3 months of pregnancy
  • during breastfeeding

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the recommended dose is:
    • For adults and children over 6 years:
      • 3-20 drops 3 times a day. This corresponds to a daily dose of 15 - 30 mg etilefrin hydrochloride.
    • For children between 2 and 6 years:
      • 5 - 10 drops 3 times a day. This corresponds to a daily dose of 7.5 - 15 mg etilefrin hydrochloride.
    • For children under 2 years:
      • 2 - 5 drops 3 times a day. This corresponds to a daily dose of 3 - 7.5 mg etilefrin hydrochloride.
• Preferably take the preparation with a glass of liquid before eating.
• In children, the gift is recommended in a teaspoon of juice or sweetened tea.
• The preit should not be taken in the late afternoon or evening, as its stimulating effect can make falling asleep.
• The need to take the preparation should be checked regularly.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • If the preparation is overdosed, the following symptoms can occur:
    • Strong acceleration of the heartbeat rate (tachycardia), cardiac arrhythmias, excessive increase in blood pressure (possibly with headache), sweating, excitement, nausea, vomiting.
  • In infants and toddlers, overdose can lead to a damping of breathing (central respiratory depression) and deepness (coma).
  • Please inform a doctor immediately. He will decide on the need to remove the drug from the gastrointestinal tract and the administration of medical coal. In severe cases, intensive care monitoring and treatment may be necessary.

 

• If you forgot to take the preparation
  • Take the normal dose at the next time. Do not take the double dose to compensate for the forgotten intake.

 

• If you stop taking the preparation
  • If the treatment is interrupted or off -the -term, the symptoms can be resolved.

Taking

• Preferably take the preparation with a glass of liquid before eating.

  • Diabetes (diabetes mellitus)

  • increased calcium content of the blood (hypercalcemia)
  • dilated potassium content of the blood (hypocalaemia)
  • severe functional disorders of the kidney
  • a certain heart disease due to a lung disease (cor pulmonary)
  • Heart rhythm disorders
  • serious diseases that affect the heart and blood vessels
• In these cases, you should get advice and examine your doctor before you start taking the preparation.
• Notice:
  • The application of the drug can lead to positive results for doping controls.

 

• Wateriness and the ability to operate machines
  • No studies on the effect on the traffic and the ability to use machines were carried out.
  • Please note that side effects can occur that could theoretically impair the management of vehicles and operating machines.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.
  • The preparation must not be taken in the first 3 months of pregnancy.
  • From the 4th month of pregnancy it is possible if the treating doctor supports this.
• Breastfeeding
  • During the breastfeeding, the medicine must not be taken because a transfer to breast milk cannot be ruled out and there is no experience in infants.
