Indications

Dimetin ADGC 1 mg/g Gel (pack size: 30 g) is applied to the skin; it absorbs quickly and is non-greasy.
It contains the proven active ingredient dimetindene maleate.

The gel relieves itching associated with insect bites, sunburn, minor superficial skin burns, skin diseases (dermatoses), and hives (urticaria).

Mode of action

Dimetin ADGC 1 mg/g Gel (pack size: 30 g) contains the active ingredient dimetindene maleate. This inhibits the action of histamine.
Histamine is released in the body upon contact with an allergen and causes the development of an allergic reaction and the accompanying itching.

Ingredients of Dimetin ADGC 1 mg/g Gel (pack size: 30 g) :

The active ingredient is dimetindene maleate. Each gram of gel contains 1 mg of dimetindene maleate.

The other ingredients are: Purified water, propylene glycol, carbomer 974P, sodium edetate (Ph. Eur.), benzalkonium chloride, sodium hydroxide solution (30%).

Contraindications

In case of known hypersensitivity to individual ingredients, Dimetin ADGC 1 mg/g Gel (pack size: 30 g) should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of Dimetin ADGC 1 mg/g Gel (pack size: 30 g):

Apply a thin layer to the affected and itchy skin area up to three times daily.

If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days (2 days for children), consult your doctor.

How to take

• The medicine should be applied thinly to the affected and itchy areas of skin up to 3 times daily, or as directed by your doctor. Do not press or scratch the skin when applying.
• This medicine is intended for use on intact skin and should not be applied to open wounds.

• During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should not be applied to large areas of skin, especially not to injured or inflamed skin.
• Breastfeeding
  • If you are breastfeeding, you should not apply the medicine to your breasts, including the nipples, as the baby may ingest it with the milk.
