The active ingredient helps with allergies and calms the itching. Mode of action

When you suffer from an allergy, your body's immune system reacts to foreign substances. Even if these foreign substances do not actually pose a health risk.
In order to get rid of the allergens, cells release histamine. This so-called histamine is ultimately responsible for allergy symptoms. The histamine is blocked with the active substance desloratadine contained in Desloraderm 5mg (pack size: 100 pieces) . Desloratadine is an active metabolite of loratadine. This saves the body a metabolization step. This mode of action ensures that the effect occurs faster. Desloratadine relieves allergic reactions such as hay fever or hives. Contraindications

• Adults and teenagers (from 12 years):
  • The recommended dosage is one tablet once a day with water, with or without food.

• Duration of use
  • Regarding the duration of treatment, your doctor will determine the type of allergic rhinitis you are suffering from and will then determine how long you should take desloratadine.
  • If your allergic rhinitis is intermittent (symptoms appear less than 4 days a week or last less than 4 weeks), your doctor will recommend a treatment regimen based on your history of the disease.
  • If your allergic rhinitis is persistent (symptoms appear 4 or more days per week and last more than 4 weeks), your doctor may recommend longer-term treatment.
  • For urticaria, the duration of treatment may vary from patient to patient. Therefore, you should follow your doctor's instructions.

• If you take more than you should
  • Only take desloratadine as it has been prescribed for you. Accidental overdose is unlikely to cause serious problems. If you take more desloratadine than you should, contact your doctor, pharmacist or nurse straight away.

• If you forget to take desloratadine
  • If you forget to take your dose on time, take it as soon as possible and then go back to your normal treatment schedule.
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

• If you stop taking it
  • If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
