CUTIMED® SORBACT® is an innovative wound association that combat infections in a particularly safe and efficient way - purely physically. CUTIMED® SORBACT® binds germs according to the principle of hydrophobic interaction and does not require the use of chemical antimicrobial substances: The special Sorbact® coating gives the product strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are naturally hydrophobic and therefore bind to the Sorbact® fabric. With every change of association, the number of germ in the wound is reduced and optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process are created.

CUTIMED® SORBACT® is suitable for all clean, colonized, contaminated or infected, exuding wounds:
- chronic wounds (e.g. B. venous, arterial or diabetic ulcers as well as pressure ulcers)
- postoperative wounds and wound drafts
- traumatic wounds
- Wounds after excision of fistulas and abscesses
- Skin fungal infections (applies to the tamponade)

Change of association:
depending on the exudate amount as well as the overall condition of the wound and wound environment, up to 7 days if the clinical condition allows it
