Coaguchek^&Reg XS PT test strips

Coaguchek XS measures the time from the first contact of the blood sample with thromboplastin to insert the coagulation and calculates this value with the help of a calibration curve into INR or % Quick. The Coaguchek XS PT test strip contains a reagent in dried form, the reactive components of which consist of the thromboplastin - a recombinant human tissue factor (HRTF) - and a peptide substrate. When the sample is applied, the thromboplastin activates the coagulation cascade, which leads to the formation of thrombin. At the same time, the measuring device begins the time measurement. The enzyme thrombin divides the peptide substrate, which creates an electrochemical signal.

Depending on the time of its occurrence, this electrochemical signal is converted into the coagulation units inr, % quick and seconds by a corresponding algorithm and displayed on the display after 60 seconds.

The test strips are not subject to refrigerators. In addition, the user can set his individual therapeutic area. When over- or below, an acoustic and visually readable signal takes place. The last 100 measured values are saved with the date and time.

Mode of action

Use only venous thoroughbred or fresh capillary blood from the fingertip (finger berry). A measurement must not be carried out if the blood is added to the blood anticoagulants (heparin, edta. Does what it's supposed to do. Unfortunately, this time the delivery did not include the strip with the lines for entering the weekly INR measurement results and the dosage planning for the week after the respective measurement.
