Cistrose is a bushy shrub with hedge -rose -like flowers and thrives on the dry, limestone floors of the Garrigue and Macchia of the Mediterranean area. Cistrose is one of the famous aroma substances of antiquity, it was used as a smoker and to prevent diseases. In the perfumer, she is used in (oriental) perfumes, soaps and also in food aromatization. Naturopathy uses cistrosis in the treatment of skin and lymph.
