Field of use

Cetirizin Heumann 10 mg film -coated tablets (pack size: 10 pc) is an anti -allergic. To alleviate nasal and eye symptoms in seasonal and all-year-old allergic rhinitis and nettle (urticaria).

Contradictions

Cetirizin Heumann 10 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 10 pc) must not be taken if you have a serious kidney disease (severe restriction of kidney function with creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min); if you are allergic to Cetirizin, one of the other components of this medicine, against hydroxyzin or other piperazine derivatives (closely related active ingredients of other medicines).

dosage

Adults and adolescents over 12 years The recommended dose is: 1 tablet Cetirizin Heumann 10 mg film -coated tablets once a day. Children between 6 to 12 years The recommended dose is: half a tablet Cetirizin Heumann 10 mg film -coated tablets twice a day. Patients with kidney weakness Patients with moderate kidney weakness are recommended to take 5 mg of Cetirizine once a day. If you suffer from severe kidney disease, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist who can adapt your dose accordingly. If your child suffers from a serious kidney disease, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist, who can adapt the dose according to the needs of the child.

Taking

The tablets should be taken with a glass of liquid. Food has no influence on the inclusion of Cetirizin.

Patient information

Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking 10 mg film tablets (pack size: 10 pc) . Do not give this medicine to children under the age of 6, since the required dose cannot be set with the tablets.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug. Cetirizin should be avoided in pregnant women. The accidental intake of the drug by pregnant women should not lead to harmful effects in the fetus. Nevertheless, the medicine should only be taken, if necessary and according to medical advice. Cetirizin passes into breast milk. In the case of breastfed infants, side effects in connection with Cetirizini can be observed.
