Field of use

Cefacur hard capsules (pack size: 60 pieces) are a dietary supplement with a highly bioavailable curcumin complex, vitamin D and vitamin C. 3 capsules contain: 810 mg curcumin complex, 800 IU corresponding to 20 μg vitamin D3, 20 mg vitamin C.

With vitamin D and vitamin C, Cefacur® contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. Vitamin C also supports normal collagen formation for normal cartilage function and protects cells from oxidative stress. The contained curcumin complex consists of a protective starch ring (= gamma-cyclodextrin) around the curcumin molecules and thus enables a significantly better bioavailability of the curcumin compared to a conventional curcuma extract.

Mode of action

Curcumin, the valuable ingredient in turmeric
Curcumin and other curcuminoids are biologically particularly valuable components of the spice plant Curcuma longa, which is also known as turmeric, yellow ginger or turmeric. Turmeric has been used in a variety of ways in Asia for centuries and is an essential part of traditional medicine there. In Germany, too, curcumin is increasingly becoming the focus of scientific interest and is now considered one of the most intensively researched natural substances of all. So that the body can better absorb the fat-soluble curcumin, a complex was developed that binds the fat-soluble curcumin molecules into a protective starch ring (= gamma-cyclodextrin) and has been proven to enable a significantly higher absorption of curcumin compared to a conventional turmeric extract. The curcumin complex is transported unchanged through the stomach into the upper gastrointestinal tract. There the curcumin molecules are then absorbed by the body and the starch ring is broken down into maltose, some maltotriose and glucose.

Vitamin D and vitamin C support the immune system
The immune system is constantly on duty to defend against infectious agents and other external influences and to regulate immune reactions in the body. Vitamin D and vitamin C make an important contribution to the normal functioning of the immune system. In general, a balanced and varied diet is sufficient for adequate nutrient intake. Since a normal immune response is involved in maintaining health, it can be particularly important in certain life situations or when there is an increased need to ensure an adequate intake of vitamin D and vitamin C.

Vitamin C is also important for collagen formation, cartilage function and antioxidant cell protection
Vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen. Among other things, collagen is an important fiber component of cartilage, such as articular cartilage. This ensures low-friction mobility of the joints. The thickness of the cartilage layer varies depending on the size and intensity of the load on the joint. In the knee joint, this is about 5 mm. Vitamin C also supports the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Cefacur® – High Curcumin Bioavailability + Vitamin D + Vitamin C
The curcumin complex contained in the Cefacur® cellulose capsules enables a high curcumin Ingestion without the additional use of excipients such as polysorbates or piperine (pepper extract), which may irritate the mucous membranes. 3 capsules of Cefacur® per day provide at least 121.5 mg of curcuminoids and an additional 800 IU of vitamin D3 and 20 mg of vitamin C. Turmeric preparations can stimulate bile flow. People with diseases of the bile ducts (e.g. gallstones) as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking it. The cellulose capsules are suitable for vegetarians.
