CAYA diaphragm gel, 60 g

Caya® GEL is a contraceptive gel for use with the barrier contractions diaphragm and portio cap. Caya® Gel increases the safety of these contraceptive methods. The application without a contraceptive gel is demonstrably less secure.

Caya® GEL is identical to the Contracep® Grün manufactured from 1972 to 2002 and the ContraL® green available since 2005. This composition based on lactic acid base was already assessed as safe in 1989 (Dittrich 1989) in a comparative study by various diaphragm gags and creams as non-oxynol-9-containing products, but with significantly lower side effect potential.
