Field of use

• The medicine is a vitamin mineral combination.
• It is used:
  • With proven calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency as well as for the supportive treatment of osteoporosis.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken at:
  • Hypersensitivity to calcium carbonate, Colecalciferol (vitamin D3), soy, peanut or one of the other components.
  • increased calcium content of the blood (hypercalcemia)
  • increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalciurie)
  • calcium -containing kidney stones
  • Tissue calcification of the kidney (nephrocalcinosis)
  • restricted kidney function (renal failure)
  • Overfunction of the ancillary thyroid gland, which is usually based on an anxiety thyroid adenoma with increased parathormone release (primary hyperparathyroidism)
  • Vitamin D overdose
  • multiplem bone marrow tumor (myeloma)
  • Daughter tumors in the bone (bone metastases)
  • Immobilization of limbs (immobilization osteoporosis)
  • certain lung diseases (sarcoidosis, Boeck's disease)

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction in this package insert. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • Adults occupy 1 effervescent tablet 1 times a day (corresponding to 1200 mg calcium and 800 i.e. vitamin D3).
• Duration of the application:
  • The duration of the application is determined by the doctor. Please follow the instructions of your
    Doctor.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should:
  • Overdosing can lead to nausea, vomiting, pathological thirst, increased fluid intake, increased urinary flow, lack of fluid or constipation.
  • Permanent overdose can lead to vascular and organ calcification. at
    Suspected overdosing please inform your doctor immediately. This can
    if necessary, take the necessary measures.

 

• If you forgot to take the drug
  • If you have forgotten to take the medicine, take the preparation as usual the next day - definitely not twice the amount.

 

• If you stop taking the drug:

Taking

• The effervescent tablet is dissolved in a glass of water and is immediately transferredken.

Patient information

• Particular caution when taking the drug is required:
  • During long -term treatment, the calcium levels in the serum and urine should be monitored and the kidney function should be checked by measurements of the serum creatinin. This review is particularly important in older patients and at the same time treatment with heart glycosides and diuretics. This also applies to patients with a pronounced tendency to form stone formation. If necessary, your doctor can reduce the dosage or interrupt the treatment, depending on the measured values.
  • You may only take the medicine after consultation with your doctor if you are downholidated by phosphate concentration in the blood (hypophosphatemia).
  • Additional intake of calcium and vitamin D may only be carried out under medical control, including a weekly review of the serum and urincalcium level.
  • In patients who suffer from a disturbed kidney function, the drug is to be used with caution. The serum and urincalcium level should be checked in these patients. The risk of calcification of the soft tissues must be taken into account. VitMain D in the form of Colecalciferol is not used by patients with severe kidney dysfunction. Therefore, these patients should receive other vitamin D preparations.
  • Also ask your doctor for advice if kidney stones containing calcium in your family have occurred.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines:
  • There is no data on the influence of this drug on the road. However, an influence is unlikely.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.
  • The drug should not be used during pregnancy and lactation due to the high dosage of vitamin D.
  • During pregnancy, overdoses of vitamin D must be avoided, since a long -lasting increased calcium content in the blood (hypercalcemia) can lead to physical malformation and intellectual disabilities of the child.
  • Calcium passes into breast milk in small quantities without a negative effect
    to have the child.
