How do the ingredients of the drug work?

Calcium ions play a crucial role in the activation of biological systems. A calcium deficiency in the blood increases, while an excess decreases, neuromuscular excitability. Oral calcium intake promotes skeletal remineralization in cases of calcium deficiency. Cholecalciferol is physiological vitamin D3, which is converted in the kidneys and liver to calcitriol, the active substance of vitamin D3. Calcitriol is responsible for the absorption of calcium and phosphate from the intestines supplied through food. Likewise, the utilization of calcium and its reabsorption from the kidneys are vitamin D-dependent. The substance promotes bone mineralization and thus inhibits bone degradation.
