Field of use

• The medicine are effervescent tablets that contain calcium and vitamin D₃ - two important substances for bone structure.
• The effervescent tablets are taken
  • to prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency in older people
  • as a supplement to the support of specific osteoporos therapy for patients in whom there is a risk of vitamin D and calcium deficiency.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D, or one of the other components of this medicine
  • if you have too high calcium content in the blood or urine
  • if you have a severe kidney dysfunction
  • if you have kidney stones
  • if the vitamin D content of your blood is too high

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is a effervescent tablet every day.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • If you have taken more effervescent tablets than you should, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
  • The symptoms of hypercalcemia (increased calcium content of blood) include appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, drowsiness and confusion, extreme thirst, excessive or unusually strong urine production and/or frequent urination and bone pain.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Taking

• Please dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water (200 ml) and completely drink the contents of the glass.

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this preparation,
    • if you have long -term treatment
    • if she influences oneraid kidney function or a strong tendency to form the kidney stone
    • if you suffer from sarcoidosis (a disease of the immune system that can lead to an increased vitamin D level in the body)
    • for immobilization with osteoporosis
    • if you take other vitamin D or calcium preparations. Additional doses calcium and vitamin D may only be taken under strict medical supervision.
  • Your doctor will decide whether a calcium and/or vitamin D₃preparation can be used under these circumstances.
  • If you use the effervescent tablets at osteoporosis, it is recommended to have the calcium level in the blood (calcium) determined before the start of treatment.
  • In the event of long -term treatment, the calcium content of the blood must be checked regularly. Depending on the result, your doctor may decide to reduce the dose or to cancel the treatment.
  • If your kidney function is disturbed and you are treated with these effervescent tablets, your doctor should monitor the effect of treatment on the calcium and phosphate balance.
• Children and adolescents
  • The effervescent tablets are not intended for use in children and adolescents.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • No studies on the effects on the traffic and operating machines were carried out. However, a disadvantageous effect is unlikely.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
• Pregnancy

• Breastfeeding
  • The medicine should not be used during breastfeeding due to the high dosage of vitamin D. Calcium and vitamin D₃ pass into breast milk.
