Active ingredient: bitter fennel

Field of use
Fennel is a herbal gastrointestinal remedy and a medicine used to treat respiratory diseases. The medicinal tea is used for digestive problems such as mild, spasmodic gastrointestinal complaints, a feeling of fullness and flatulence as well as catarrh of the upper airways.
 
Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 2 to 3 times a day: 1 infusion bag of fennel or 1 teaspoon full of fennel crushed just before use is poured over with boiling water (approx. 150 ml), covered and about 10 left to infuse for 15 minutes. Loose tea is then optionally passed through a tea strainer. For infants and small children, the tea infusion can also be used to dilute milk or baby food.

Composition
1 Tea bag (= 2.2 g) medicinal tea contains the active ingredient: 2.2 g bitter fennel. 100 g medicinal tea contain the active ingredient: 100 g bitter fennel.
