Field of use

Blepha Eyebag eye warming mask (pack size: 1 pcs) is a reusable, warming eye mask. It is used for the simple and effective treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis and to relieve dry, tired or burning eyes. The Blepha Eyebag eye heat mask (pack size: 1 piece) is handmade and patented. It is made of natural silk and cotton. Their filling material is untreated flaxseed. Blepha Eyebag eye heat mask (pack size: 1 piece) is suitable for adults and children from the age of 3 years (the parent or a carer should use the product on the child). Blepha Eyebag eye warming mask (pack size: 1 piece) can also be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Mode of action

The Meibomian glands are located on the upper and lower edge of the eyelid. These secrete a fatty secretion that is used to moisten and clean the surface of the eye and ensures that the tear film is distributed well. As soon as the normal function of the glands is disturbed, the fatty secretion changes to a viscous sebum, which clogs the glands. This leads to insufficient moistening of the surface of the eye. In cases of MDD, blepharitis and associated conditions such as dry eye, chalazion and stye, heat treatment of the eyes is recommended as the first step of a lid hygiene routine.
The 5 to 10-minute heat treatment with Blepha Eyebag eye heat mask (pack size: 1 piece) ensures that thickened Meibom secretions are liquefied and the secretion build-up is released. The loosened secretions can be gently removed with a lid massage and subsequent lid cleaning with a cloth soaked in cleansing lotion (e.g. Blephasol® Duo) or a ready-to-use, pre-moistened compress (e.g. Blephaclean®).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients listed above, the product should not be used. Do not use on face if you have a known sensitivity to flax or flaxseed.
Do not apply Blepha Eyebag Eye Warming Mask (pack size: 1 pc) if the skin around the eyes is broken or bleeding.

Place the product in the microwave and heat on maximum power for 1 minute. Then let it cool down completely.

1. Place Blepha Eyebag Eye Warming Mask (pack size: 1 pc) in a microwave oven and heat according to the table in the instructions for use.
2. Shake the eye mask to evenly distribute the flaxseed inside the mask and the heat.
3. Check that the Blepha Eyebag eye heat mask (pack size: 1 piece) is pleasantly warm and not too hot before placing it on the closed eyelids. Gently check the temperature on the gray (silk) side by touching Blepha Eyebag eye warming mask (pack size: 1 pcs) with your wrist. If it is too hot, wait a few minutes and check the temperature again before putting it on your eyes.
4. When the temperature is comfortably warm, sit back and place the mask over your closed eyes. Use either side according to your preference. The black side is slightly cooler and you may wish to switch to the silk side over the course of the 10 minute treatment. Relax and keep Blepha Eyebag Eye Heat Mask (Pack Size: 1 pc) on for 5-10 minutes.
5. Take Blepha Eyebag Eye Heat Mask (pack size: 1 pcs) from your eyes. Reddening of the skin after use is normal and is due to the warming effect of the mask.
6. Immediately after warming up, massage the closed eyelids to smooth out the fatty secretions from the Meibomian glands. Repeat this several times for about 30 seconds.
7. Clean your eyelids after using Blepha Eyebag heat mask (pack size: 1 piece) and massaging with a cloth soaked in eyelid cleansing lotion or with a ready-to-use eyelid cleansing compress.
8. Always put Blepha Eyebag Eye Warming Mask (pack size: 1 pcs) back in the package to keep it clean, dry and safe.
