Field of use

Biotin ratiopharm 5 mg tablets (pack size: 90 pc) are used to prevent and treat nutritional/illness-related and from a lack of biotin-dependent carboxylases back to leading biotin deficiency.

Mode of action

Biotin, also called vitamin H or vitamin B7, is a water-soluble vitamin of the B complex. The substance is involved as a coenzyme in many biochemical processes in our organism. Above all, the transmission of so -called carboxyl groups is bound to biotin. A deficiency state therefore affects the entire metabolic situation.

In addition, Biotin-ratiopharm, regardless of the effects described above, stimulates the formation of the epidermis. It affects all keratin structures in the body, including skin, nails and hair. It probably has its positive influence on these structures by increasing the keratin matrix proteins.

• 5 mg biotin (vitamin h)

as other components:

• microcrystalline cellulose
• Lactose-Monohydrate
• Povidon K 30
• Crospovidone
• Magnesium diet

Contradictions

If there is a hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, the Biotin Ratiopharm should not be applied 5 mg tablets (pack size: 90 pc).

With intended use, there are no restrictions on pregnancy and breastfeeding.

dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, take:

• for prophylaxis and therapy of nutritional/illness-related deficiency, 1/2-1 tablet of the Biotin ratiopharm 5 mg tablets (pack size: 90 pc) (corresponds to 2.5 mg-5 mg biotin).
• to therapy of the multiple carboxylase deficiency 1-2 tablets of the Biotin ratiopharm 5 mg tablets (pack size: 90 pc) (corresponds to 5 mg-10 mg biotin).

The duration of the intake depends on the course of the underlying disease. If necessary, consult your doctor. If you are taking a pure prevention of deficiency, less than 0.2 mg biotin per day is sufficient.

Interactions with other drugs:

Anticonvulsiva, funds for the treatment of seizures, lower the biotin mirror.
