Field of use

• The medicine is a urea preparation for external use on the skin.
• The preparation is used for supportive treatment for fish dance disease (ichthyosis), skin dryness (xerodermati), thickening of the horny layer (hyperkeratosis) and other conditions of dry, rougher skin.
• For post -treatment largely coated skin diseases, especially for corticoid -free therapy in chronic skin diseases.

Contradictions

• The preparation must not be used if they are hypersensitive to urea or one of the other components of the drug.

dosage

• Always apply the preparation exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, you should apply the medicine thinly to the skin twice a day and rub it evenly.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the application depends on the clinical picture and is individually determined by the doctor. As a rule, a treatment time of two to four weeks is required.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • Due to the overdose, the skin can lead to irritation. These quickly resolve by themselves after stopping the preparation.

 

• If you have forgotten the application
  • Next time, do not use twice the amount, but continue the application, as prescribed by your doctor or as described here.

Patient information

• Particular caution when using the drug is required,
  • if you use the medicine near the eyes and mucous membranes. You should not bring the preparation into contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
  • You should not use the medicine for acute skin inflammation with injured skin surface and not large if you suffer from restricted kidney function (renal insufficiency).
  • During the treatment in the genital or anal area, the other part of white Vaselin can lead to a reduction in functionality and thus impair the safety of these products due to the use of latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms).
• Children
  • There are no reliable experiences for the use of the preparation in children. Reports from the specialist literature indicate that the use of higher -concentrated urea -containing products in children can lead to a mostly short -term burning sensation on the skin. Please consult your doctor before using the preparation in children.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking or using all drugs.
• Risks when using the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding are not known.
• During the use during breastfeeding, the preparation should not be used in the area of the breast to avoid recording by the infant.
