Field of use

Azur 450mg paracetamol/50mg caffeine (pack size: 20 pc) is a combination of paracetamol, a pain relieving, fever -lowering medicine (analgesics and antipyretics), and caffeine. The medicine is used for symptomatic treatment of light to moderately severe pain (such as headache, toothache, menstrual pain).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are hypersensitive to paracetamol, caffeine or one of the other components of the preparation,
  • if you suffer from a serious impairment of the liver function,
  • of children under the age of 12.

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• The dosage is based on the information in the following table. The respective dosage interval depends on the symptoms and the maximum total daily dose. It shouldn't fall below 6 hours.
• In the event of complaints that last for more than 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.
• With short -term application without medical or dental monitoring
  • From 43 kg
  • Young people from 12 years and adults
    • Single dose in number of tablets: 1 tablet (450 mg paracetamol and 50 mg caffeine)
    • max. Daily dose in number of tablets: 4 tablets (corresponding to 1800 mg paracetamol and 200 mg caffeine)
• When using under medical or dental monitoring
  • From 43 kg
  • Young people from 12 years and adults
    • Single dose in number of tablets: 2 tablets (900 mg paracetamol and 100 mg caffeine)
    • max. Daily dose in number of tablets: 8 tablets (corresponding to 3600 mg paracetamol and 400 mg caffeine)
• Special patient groups
  • Liver dysfunction and easy restriction of kidney function
    • In patients with liver or kidney dysfunction as well as Gilbert syndrome, the dose must be reduced or the dose interval is extended.
  • Heavy renal insufficiency
    • With severe renal failure (creatinine clearance
  • Older patients
    • No special dose adjustment is required.
  • Children under the age of 12
    • There is not enough knowledge material for using the drug in children under the age of 12.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• Duration of the application
  • Do not take the preparation without a medical or dental advice for more than 3 days.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • As a rule, side effects of paracetamol overdose only occur when a maximum daily dose of 4 g in adults and adolescents over the age of 12 occur. Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, pale and abdominal pain can occur within 24 hours. There can also be severe liver damage.
  • With an overdose with caffeine central nervous symptoms (e.g. restlessness, arousal, tremors) and cardiovascular reactions (e.g. racing heart, pain in the heart area).
  • When taking large amounts of the drug, a doctor must be consulted immediately who takes the appropriate measures.

 

• If you have forgotten to take
  • Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• Please take the tablets with sufficient fluid, in front of a glass of drinking water (200 ml). Taking it after meals can lead to a delayed occurrence.

Patient information

• Special caution when taking the drug is required in the following cases:
  • Take the preparation only after consultation with your doctor
    • if you are chronically alcoholic,
    • if you suffer from the impairment of liver function (liver inflammation, Gilbert syndrome),
    • with pre -damaged kidney,
    • in the case of thyroid overactive,
    • in the case of cardiac arrhythmias,
    • for anxiety disorders.
  • If your symptoms vest or after 3 days there is no improvement or with a high fever, you have to see a doctor.
  • In order to prevent the risk of overdose, it should be ensured that other medicines that are used at the same time do not contain paracetamol.
  • If painkillers are not dosed for a long time, headaches can occur, which may not be treated by increased doses of the drug.
  • In general, the habitual intake of pain relievers, especially when combining several pain relieving active ingredients, can lead to permanent kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure (analgesic nephropathy).
  • When stopping abruptly, headaches and fatigue, muscle pain, nervousness and vegetative symptoms can occur after a long -dosed, non -determined use of painkillers. The deductible symptoms subside within a few days. Until then, painkillers are to be reinforced and the revenue should not take place without medical advice.
  • Do not use the medicine for a long time or in higher doses without medical or dental advice.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines:
  • The preparation has no influence on the traffic and operating machines. Nevertheless, caution is always required after taking a pain reliever.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking all drugs.
  • The medicine should only be taken after strict weighing up the benefit-risk ratio during pregnancy.
  • You should not take the preparation during pregnancy for a long time, in high doses or in combination with other medicines, since the safety of the application is not proven for these cases.
• Breastfeeding
  • Paracetamol and caffeine, the active ingredients of the drug, pass into breast milk. During breastfeeding, the condition and behavior of the infant can be affected by caffeine recorded in breast milk. A disadvantageous consequences for the infant through paracetamol have not yet become known. If the recommended dose is used in the short term, an interruption of breastfeeding will generally not be necessary.
  • If you use or take higher doses for a long time, you should stop.

Hints

Do not apply longer for pain or fever without medical advice than specified in the package insert!

Miscellaneous

- Not suitable for children under the age of 12
- The regular intake of painkillers can lead to damage to the kidney function, especially when several pain relievers are taken (under certain circumstances with death), which may require a lifelong blood laundry (dialysis).
