The Cleanance HYDRA Soothing Cleansing Cream has a non-irritating but thorough cleansing effect that balances the drying, skin-irritating effect of medical acne treatments.

Indication:
During puberty, skin blemishes usually occur, and in many cases pimples and acne-like conditions with inflammation and scarring. It is true that mostly young people are affected by acne, but women and men over the age of 25 are also increasingly suffering from it. Skin blemishes are caused by excessive sebum production (hyperseborrhoea), which is predominantly caused by hormones and is reflected in greasy, shiny skin. Due to a keratinization disorder of the sebum follicles (follicular hyperkeratosis), the sebum can no longer drain off, which is why microcomedones form under the skin. Depending on their condition, these appear whitish or black (“blackheads”). Increased colonization with the bacterium C. acnes can ultimately lead to inflammatory processes and the development of papules and pustules, which often only heal with scarring.

In the case of severe forms of acne, medical acne treatment by a dermatologist may be necessary. Antibiotics or vitamin A preparations (e.g. isotretinoin and retinoids) usually eliminate pimples, pustules and papules quickly, but they dry out the skin severely. Many acne patients therefore experience reddened skin, itching and flaking.

In order to counteract the effects of medical acne treatment, the skin needs gentle care products that replenish the skin's moisture storage and restore the skin barrier.

Active ingredients and mode of action of the product:
The Cleanance HYDRA Soothing Cleansing Cream consists of 53.5% skin-soothing, anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory Avène thermal water. The additionally contained dextran sulphate reduces irritation and redness caused by a drying treatment. Glycoleol, which is rich in essential fatty acids, stimulates the skin's own lipid production while moisturizing. In addition, the protective skin barrier is restored. A 6% glycerine content replenishes the skin's moisture reservoir - the skin feels pleasant and well-groomed overall.

Application:
Apply morning and evening to damp face. Then rinse off thoroughly and dry the skin gently without rubbing firmly. Use the Cleanance HYDRA Soothing Moisturizer as a supplement.

User Studies:
The compatibility and effectiveness of Cleanance HYDRA Soothing Cleansing Cream has been scientifically proven.

Tolerability and Efficacy Study:
Internal user study under dermatological control with 41 subjects aged 13 to 35 years. 20 subjects were treated with oral isotretinoin and 21 subjects with a topical acne medication. Cleanance HYDRA Soothing Cleansing Cream was used twice a day for 28 days.
