Application Notes
Type of application?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease. You should not use the medicine for longer than 6 weeks without medical advice if there is no improvement after this time. Maximum duration of treatment: 3 months.
Overdose?
There are no known overdose symptoms. If in doubt consult your doctor.
Forgot to take?
Continue taking it as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.
In general, pay attention to a conscientious dosage, especially for babies, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by the doctor may deviate from the information on the package leaflet. Therefore, since the doctor adjusts them individually, you should use the medicine according to his instructions.

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?The ingredients come from the grapevine plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:
- Appearance: Woody climbing shrub with large lobed leaves and small inconspicuous flowers that ripen into succulent green or red racemes
- Occurrence: Europe, West Asia, cultivation in all warm temperate zones
- Main ingredients: condensed tannins (proanthocyanidins), flavonoids, fruit acids
- Plant parts and preparations used: mainly leaf extracts
Due to their structure, proanthocyanidins can intercept harmful radicals and have an antioxidant effect. They inhibit enzymes that make the capillary vessels brittle, thereby maintaining the elasticity of the veins. The flavonoids that are also contained have an anti-inflammatory effect.

The medicinal power of red vine leaves – this is how Antistax® extra vein tablets work
Antistax® extra vein tablets with the medicinal power of red vine leaves relieve swollen and aching legs. The active substance acts exactly where the damage occurs: on the vein wall. The vein walls are demonstrably repaired, strengthened and protected. The extract of the red vine leaves has a high content of secondary plant substances, the so-called flavonoids. Due to the targeted effect in the vein:
• repaired the vein walls.
• Reduced edema (leg swelling).
• the microcirculation and oxygen supply are improved.
• Reduced leg pain and tightness.
The red vine leaf extract, which has a decongestant effect, inhibits the formation of inflammatory messengers and at the same time seals the vein walls so that less fluid can escape into the surrounding tissue. For those affected, this means that the so-called "water in the legs" decreases, which causes a very relieved feeling. Vein problems are problems for all of us
90 percent* of adults suffer from vein changes. Vein problems are a widespread disease that does not only affect the elderly. Young people also complain about the first symptoms of a chronic venous disease, such as heavy and swollen legs, tingling, spider veins or varicose veins. The symptoms increase with age. Especially on hot days, the problem becomes unbearable for those affected. Basically, when it's hot, the only thing that comes to light is what has been slumbering under the surface all year round! Venous disease is a year-round problem.
A vein problem is favored by risk factors such as lack of exercise, obesity, genetic predisposition and a lot of sitting or standing.
But how can those affected interpret the first signs and take countermeasures?

Always take ANTISTAX extra vein tablets exactly as instructed in this leaflet. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, take 1-2 Antistax extra vein tablets for vein problems & venous insufficiency (pack size: 180 pieces) once a day with some liquid before breakfast.
Apply the drug over a period of several weeks up to a maximum of 3 months. If the symptoms do not improve during the course of treatment, please consult your doctor, as your symptoms could have other causes.

Patient notes
- Special care is required in the following cases
- If you suddenly develop unusually severe symptoms, especially in one leg, which are noticeable through swelling, discolouration of the skin, a feeling of tension or heat and pain, you should see a doctor immediately. These may be signs of a serious illness (vein thrombosis) in connection with the underlying venous insufficiency.
- These are not due to the intake of the preparation.
