Field of use

Antifungol Hexal (pack size: 25 g) is a medicine for external treatment of skin. The medicine is used for fungal diseases (mycoses) of the skin and mucous membranes caused by dermatophytes, yeast (e.g. Candida species) and mold. Furthermore, the medicine is effectively caused by erythrasma (certain skin disease caused by corynebacterium minute dial), lichen mushroom lichen (pityriasis versicolor) and superficial yeast diseases (candidoses).

Mode of action

The special thing about Antifungol Hexal (pack size: 25 g):

The active ingredient damages the outer shell of the cell membrane of mushrooms. Depending on the concentration of the active ingredient, the mushrooms are thus inhibited in their growth and increase. This is inhibited and prevents further spread.

Active ingredient:
Clotrimazole
1 g of cream contains 10 mg clotrimazole.

Other ingredients:
Benzyl alcohol, Cetylpalmitat (Ph.Eur.), Cetyl Stearyl alcohol (Ph. EUR), thick paraffin, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stem, cleaned water

Contradictions

The medicine must not be used,

if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against clotrimazole or one of the other components of the medicine

if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug

If you are sensitive to cetyl stearl alcohol, it is advisable to use a cetylstearyl alcohol -free dosage form (e.g. a solution) instead of the cream.

Application recommendation of Antifungol Hexal (pack size: 25 g):

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction.
• Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
  
  Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  
  • Apply the cream thinly on the diseased skin areas 2 to 3 times a day.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the treatment depends on the type of disease.
  • In order to achieve a complete healing, the treatment should not immediately after the
    Disconnecting acute inflammatory symptoms or subjective complaints
    to be ended.
  • In the case of skin mushroom diseases, the treatment period is at least 4 weeks.
  • In the case of mushroom mushrooms (Pityriasis Versicolor), 1 to 3 weeks are usually sufficient for 1 to 2 weeks for sprout guy infections.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug. For precautionary reasons, Clotrimazole may not be used in the first 3 months of pregnancy and when using it in the vagina.

With intended use, Antifungol Hexal (pack size: 25 g) can be used during breastfeeding. During breastfeeding, however, Antifungol Hexal should not be used directly in the chest area.

Hints

If the use of Antifungol Hexal and latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms), this can lead to a reduction in functionality and thus impair the safety of these products.

Keep out of reach of children.

According to the approach, Antifungol Hexal can be kept for 6 months.
