Field of use

- To solve the expectoration in acute and chronic diseases of the lungs and the lower airways, which are associated with a disturbance of mucus formation and transport.

Contradictions

Thefsitivity reactions can occur against all medicines, then you have to stop taking the medication immediately. If an allergy to the active ingredient or one of the other components of the drug is known, it must not be applied.

- If the lower respiratory tract and larger amounts of secretions (e.g. in rare malignant zilia syndrome), the medicine should only be used with caution due to a possible secretion.

- If kidney function or severe liver disease is restricted, the medicine may only be used with special caution (i.e. in larger application distances or in reduced dose).

- Due to the high content of the active ingredient, the drug should not be used in children under the age of 12.

dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, the following doses are recommended:
Adults and children from the age of 12:
- 1/2 Tablet 3 times a day during the first 2-3 days (corresponding to 3 times 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride per day).
- Then 1/2 tablet 2 times a day (corresponding to a 7 mg ambroxol hydrochloride per day).

- Increasing effectiveness is possible in adults, especially with pronounced increased secretion production in the lower airways or viscous airways, 1 tablet by taking twice a day (corresponding to e.g. 2 times 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride per day).

Taking

- Take the tablets preferably after the meals of unknown with plenty of liquid (e.g. water, juice or tea).

Patient information

- The duration of the application should be decided depending on the cause and the course of the disease.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist!

- The drug overcomes the placenta barrier and merges into breast milk (animal).
- The drug should only be used during pregnancy, especially during the 1st third, and during breastfeeding after careful use-risk assessment, since so far there is no sufficient experience for humans.

Miscellaneous

- In the case of severe kidney dysfunction, the conservation dose should be reduced accordingly or the distance between the applications (dosage interval) should be extended.

- The expectorant effect of the drug is supported by fluid intake.
